name one call that went the saints way. name one. you want to say meachem didnt catch that ball? they booth reviewed it and it was obvious that he had control of it before he hit the ground. just because he isnt holding onto it from his chest doesnt make it an incomplete. read the rules nigger.

Honestly, i was just waiting for the refs to take everything away from the saints. they really tried by calling booth reviews on plays that would never be overturned. bottom line: vikings got away with a GAME CHANGING bullshit penalty in every quarter ON 3RD AND LONG each time.
that game wouldnt even have been a close as it was if it werent for refs propping up the vikings crappy playing.

I bet most of you still think the 1st quarter call was roughing the passer when favre got clocked on the running play 3RD AND LONG, but it was actually a late hit call which the commentators tried to play off as roughing the passer.

you cant rough the passer if he isnt throwing the ball. especially if he is acting as a blocker, or merely in the way of a defender.

you vikings fans are complete bullshit with your "refs blew that game" when there were atleast 3 instances where there were flagrantly bad calls against the saints, all in 3rd and long situations which are serious game changing calls.
the vikings literally had to tackle a receiver 1 yard away from the ball to get a penalty and even then it was booth reviewed, so go fuck yourself with the bullshit about refs blowing that game, if anything the saints overcame the nfl's urge to have some perfect superbowl story about favre.

I'm a little nervous already about the SB.  I think the Saints might let this (HUGE) win get to their head, and let the real big game get away from them.

Just have to see what their attitude is in the coming weeks.  I don't think Brees, Williams,  or Payton will let them get too lax.

I think we can all agree that the calls that were reviewed (or able to be challenged) non overtime are not the issue, right?

that would pretty much mean the only calls in question are:
1) PI in overtime went that helped the Saints
2) 4th down drive in OT


1. The PI call was not catchable, and there wasn't any contact. Why do you think only showed the in game replay ONCE.

2. That dive play on 4th down should have been overturned. Not sure who it was, but a Vikings player made contact with the ball mid-air, pushing the ball back. The ball was in Pierre Thomas' crotch.

but reguardless just look at the stats and you can clearly see vikings were the better team and if they had no fumbles would have been atleast 2 touchdown point game...

iam not a vikings fan I just wanted a good super bowl match up which clearly wont happen this year =/

a lot of stuff in that game was very questionable. I think the ball was catchable, but after watching it today I will say that there was very little contact and he just kind of fell on his ass on his own.
as for the 4th and inches, he cleared the 1st down by a good bit. even when the ball got hit, he still retained possession of it, and even where he fell back was still 1st down.... but the way those refs were spotting the vikings all game, a vikings fan cannot bitch about that one.

there was only one roughing the passer that was legit, and that wasnt called, all the rest were bullshit which gave the vikings 1st downs instead of having to punt it.... each time they scored on those drives.
that right there is 14 points that would not have happened and the game shouldnt have even gone to OT.

Yeah, the Vikings outgained us. However, and you may not be aware of this, there has been probably upwards of 100 games over the years where the Saints outgained their opponents by hundreds of yards and BLEW THE GAME AT THE LAST MINUTE. Often involving shitty calls!

Now that the Saints got, I'll admit, at least a little bit lucky (Cleverly disguised with 88 penalty yards versus the Vikings' 32! Downright dastardly how those biased refs cover their tracks!) the refs should be fired, OT rules must be changed, and the Vikings should take their rightful place in the Super Bowl.

Oh, and payback's a bitch. :smile2:

i agree that for years and years the saints have had to deal with unlucky calls being made against them, and it's nice when that works in your favor.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, bad calls by refs are part of any sport, you take em and deal with em.  In the NFL you can challenge most of the game, but even still, it's up to the refs.

Both teams got bad calls yesterday.
