I think the Germany Costa Rica was pretty shoddy. Neither of the teams looked very much into the game. Sure Germany won, but it was against Costa Rica. They'll have a much harder time against the other teams.

i personally thought germany looked great.. they were a little weak in the defense.. but they have one of the best keepers in the cup..

this poland game was good.. really poland outplayed them, however equador made the best of their opportunities on goal.. Equador won 2-0

i didnt think so... i thought they just caught a couple great breaks.. poland got extremely unlucky.. i thought they dominated in possession.. and hell they had 2 shots that hit the post, and another that should have gone in

not to mention that the 2nd equador goal was another clear off-sides call that was missed

So how does it go?

The two teams with the highest points go to the next round?

Then why count goals? Is that what it goes too in case of tie?

What if goals are tied too?

Damn ! That was hard for Portugal, i though more goals would come but the portuguese performance dropped in the 2nd half. Anyway, many of those angolan players are from the portuguese championship, so they know the portuguese team very well. But what matters most are the 3 points, IMHO the first game is usually not so good.

just watching the australia vs. japan game now.. what a treat.. australia trailing 0-1 with 9 minutes left in the game.. and they score 3 GOALS in the last 9 minutes and beat Japan 3-1 in their opener.. what a game
