Uncertainty
    #11683310 -

The creations of the mind — and the principles which preside over them — follow the fate of our moods, of our age, of our fevers, and our disappointments. We call into question everything we once loved, and are always right and always wrong; for everything is valid — and nothing has any importance. I smile: a world is born; I frown: it vanishes, and another appears. No opinion, no system, no belief fails to be correct and at the same time absurd, depending on whether we adhere to it or detach ourselves from it.

E. M. Cioran  — A Short History of Decay,

I'm always amazed by the abilities seemingly locked up in the brain. As a computing device it's brilliant beyond belief at times. Look at the things that this brain has created. But I wonder then, to what end all this without common sense and emotional integrity? We seem so stupid and ignorant and take it to such levels of denial. We seem hell bent on destroying everything we create.

What do you suppose is to blame for this lack of common sense and emotional integrity?

What's to blame for all this? :undecided:

It's one thing to simply enjoy a style of life that one enjoys, but it's another thing altogether to refer to another person's choice as "wrong" or to rationalize their behavior as being pathological or resulting from some sort of inadequacy or failing so as to create a sense of superiority or separation as yet another projection of a personal fear or control issue.

What I mean is that we wish to believe everything begins and ends with us. We want to see all the beginnings and all the ends, and if this is the case then of course our creations are the first to go! I mean come now, the list isn't very big anyways. The second thing on the list is "That's Guys Creations", and the third box just reads "Everything." :smirk:

The Tiger, the Grizzly, the Great Ape, and the forests. Am I everyone? I do not want to see them go. I want to live with them.

There is only one reality to be perceived but there are seemingly, an infinite number of ways to perceive this one reality. These beasts are varietes of the physical manifestation of ignorance of the one true self.

How about, there are many realities to perceive and, with our human bodies, we are limited to only perceiving a small piece of the pie.

What is the 'physical manifestation of ignorance' & the 'one true self'?
