Wanting to go back in time
    #10933030 -

This year has started off very bad for me. I lost my awesome job that paid well and was fairly easy going, then 2 weeks later I bust my GF flirting with an asshole that wants to bang her.

Then when I sort my GF out I get done for shop lifting and doing minor fraud (because I cant afford to pay for my apartment anymore).

Now the trial will begin within a month and I will probably get a criminal record and even though I had worked at two places, I ended up being asked to leave because the job was not what I enjoyed or expected at all. So this means I am really low on money again. I have a side business but it can be slow sometimes.

I wish I could go back in time before I sold my sports car and bought my apartment... those were the good times... back in 2006-2007.

Makes me depressed thinking about how easy and fun my life was back then... dont mean to sound like a bitch but fuck I wish I could go back 2 years in time.

Anyone feel the same? :2cents:

Yes but I try not to, it is self defeating and obviously isn't going to happen. All we can do is live and learn and set new goals and strive towards reaching them

Yeah true. I agree with you, its counter productive, even looking at photos from the past makes me go all gooey and pathetic.

By getting a loan.

I sold the car because it was my personal choice, not to fund the apartment.

Illegal decision or silly decision? That's how my whole world came crushing down too... lost my job and then shit went BANG.

Me too, I just lied about something at work and they dismissed me... then everything went to shit as the whole global financial crises unfolded.

I feel you #1. Three years ago I was making literally 5x as much as I am now.

I was thinking about buying my parents a new car. Now I'm thinking about moving back in with them.

Two years ago I rolled blunts of cali bud. Now I'm thrilled to smoke a J of Reggie.

It sucks, but now I know that next time I'm in such a position, I won't shit half my money away on blow, alcohol, and partying. I'll hoard it like a pirate hoards gold.

Then I'll buy some land, build a Straw Bale House, and say fuck you to the whole goddamn rat race. :vaped:

It's hard sometimes. I've had a few ups and downs, it's been tough money wise here for a bit, but things are looking up.

And I hear you about chucking it all and getting away. I don't want much. Peace would be just fine for me.

It's doable. Dropping out of the race, that is. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Build a self-sustaining home on a bunch of land, put up a hammock, and live like you were born to. It's not exactly easy, but it beats 30yrs of working a bullshit job to pay a mortgage, possessed by material products that become outdated after one year.

This economic downturn has shown me the reality of the suburbian dream. Fuck that.

I was aware of the flimsiness of it long before then, and I'm happy more and more people are waking up. If the past 60 years in America have shown us nothing, it's that owning and going and having and working for something that leads to nothing is, gasp, not going to bring fulfillment to the human who is awake.

I hope to be out within 5 years. It's taken a while, but this started out as a pipe dream, and it's becoming a reality, and that brings me hope.
