They actually work (the no crash thing), right around the 5 1/2 hour mark though you start to feel the come down (not a crash like energy drinks). However, there are some other 5 hour energy drinks out there (like 6 hour power) that have some other nootropics/supplements/stimulants in them that work a little longer.

If he takes one every 5 hours, he will be incredibly fucked up from both the insomnia and the different supplements in the energy shots. I've taken more than one before in a 24 hour period and if you want to stay up for days they will definitely allow you to.
