ketamine is a good drug for mental exploration in my opinion. i'm not really sure why someone who believed in the use of marijuana, shrooms, acid or mdma for self improvement would be against ketamine.

My neighbors at Rothbury last year flew in from California.

They rented an SUV to drive from the airport, but I have no idea what they did with all their camping gear...

I supposed you could fly with all your camping gear, you'd just have lots of bags to pay for at the airport...


I flew from the midwest to California for Phish festival this past halloween.  I borrowed my dads bag that he uses when he flies with golf clubs and was able to pack everything i needed including my tent, an air mattress, a chair, and a collapsable cooler.  I actually enjoyed having less stuff a lot more, much less to lose or hassle with.

A big snowboard bag or something like that would work great as well.  Also, try and hook up with somebody on here or one of the Rothbury forums and see if they can bring you any supplies that you need and just pay them when you get there.  I know a lot of people do this with beer and ice and shit. 

Btw, this year should be the total shit.  The most consistent rumor i've been hearing is Phish.  I've also been hearing Furthur and Cheese as headliners.  Smaller bands - i really thing STS9 and the Biscuits will be back, don't think they'd want to miss it.  Almost positive Bassnectar will be back this year, hoping for a shpongle set again.

Can't wait to be back at the bury!!!

i remember the first day though, i was walking with my friends to the little vedor market in the camp ground and was wearing a viking helmet. Out of no where some five foot kid who couldnt have been older then 12 came running up from behind me and grabbed one of my horns and pulled it off and ran off with it leaving me with just a one horned viking helmet. my friends all turned to me stared blankly for two seconds and then fell over laughing. I think it might have given my hat a little more character ha. throughout the whole fest i kept running into other ppl wearing viking helmets and every time theyd see me and yell out BROTHER! we were all fucked up which made it hilarious.

dont drive with drugs. buy them there. youll never find better drugs in quantity or quality then at rothbury or another similar fest. If youre worried about buying fake acid dont buy it all fromt he same person. what i did was buy a couple hits from this guy a couple from that guy one from that guy and just ate them all. you wont be disappointed that way. Plus chances are your neighbors will be selling something. Buy from them if you can. Someone whos living next to you for four days isnt gunna rip you off cuz you know where theyre LIVING!

idk man rothburys a piece of heaven on earth. me and my friends reflect on our experiences there everytime we get together. i cant wait till next year. I hope sts9, bassnectar, string cheese, keller, lotus, umphreys, phish, pretty lights, shpongle are all there again. those sets were incredible.

I'm thinking about going for my first time this year! I just gotta beg my boyfriend to drive us there. I never been to a music festival with tons of drugs floating around and people floating around on them. I really want to go!

I looked at the line up from last year and I was only interested in a few bands. My taste in music (punk, ska, bitpop, j-rock) does not go very well with the trippy scene. It's not like I wouldn't enjoy seeing live music, but I'm going for the whole experience.

i dont see the problem. rothbury > bonnaroo by quite a bit.

bonnaroo is hot, dusty, way too big, way too mainstream for my tastes, but to each their own.

Bonnaroo is appealing because of all the friends ive met down there that make the trip each year. But i'm always up for making some new ones.

ive heard about bonnaroo....and i just think that Rothbury has much better vibes. Its more about the music, havin fun and meeting fun people.

I really hope STS9 will be back. Along with Pretty Lights,Bassnectar,Shpongle,Phish, Cheese.

It would be sweet if Paul McCartney was there too. Im a huge beatles fan and i know people would enjoy his music.
