Why weren't you wearing your seat belt yo? I just feel naked without one. And after seeing first-hand what happens to people in car crashes who don't wear their seat belts... You can bet your ass I'm gonna wear mine. I don't think being ejected from a car and slamming your head into a tree sounds like much fun.

if you are a NJ resident, prepare to have your insurance go through the roof.

if not, prepare to pay a large fine.

I'm moving OUT of NJ in a week, and I couldn't be more excited.  it is a horrible place.

And i was wearing it fools i was doing 90 in a 55 though, fuckin parkway they made it 55 from 65 cause woman keep crashing

90mph on the Parkway is asking for a ticket dude. Keep it between 70-80mph and you're usually good. So he just gave you a seat belt ticket instead of speeding/reckless driving ticket? You lucked out man, could have gone to jail for doing 35mph over the posted limit.

I got an improper lane change ticket in Atlanta for doing 30mph over. I pled no lo and just paid the fine. No points on my license, insurance company never heard about it.

ok just an update

i got pulled over this morning at 6am on my way to work by the SAME trooper, i was doing 70-75 i believe. He said he recognized me and pulled me over to see if i had registered and updated my proof of insurance, which i did. so he just let me go on my way though i was late to work!

lol, cops in NJ will pull you over for anything.  Although, I had a nice trooper once... got a ticket at the age of 17 for doing 88 in a 55 past curfew - didn't even ask for registration or anything just wanted to see my license then made a purposeful clerical error on the ticket.  Got off on the technicality later :laugh:

Oh, and wear your god damn seat belt.  a crash at as low as 20mph without a seatbelt can be fucking devastating.

I know someone who would be dead if he was wearing a seatbelt when he get into a crash 8 years ago- he flew out the windshield but that saved his life

I don't remember exactly what happened but this guy crashed into something and basically flew out the wind shield full speed....... when the paramedics got there they said if he was wearing his seatbelt- the impact would have killed him from the crash......

So what you're saying is he got into a crash head on, where he somehow managed to pull the right amount of G at the exact angle that he flew out the window without absolutely demolishing his chest and legs, then managed to not hit whatever it is that he crashed into and then somehow landed into something soft enough that he didn't sustain any other major injuries?  I'm an EMT and know plenty of paramedics, and I can't say I've EVER met one who has seen something that bizarre.
