First post : A new passion, thank you ! & Jalisco, Tampanensis, Hoogshagenii aka Semperviva & Co * 2
    #25947978 -

Hey guys,

I hope you're enjoying a nice Easter weekend !

First of all, I wanted to thank all of you for sharing this knowledge. I love this community

I'm not much of a writer, so even though I've been lurking here since a good 6 months, here's my first post.

After being interested by how psilocybin could help depression and addiction for my best friend, I can say that it grew into a real passion.

I've read everything that I could on the subject : How to Change Your Mind: What the New Science of Psychedelics Teaches Us About Consciousness, Dying, Addiction, Depression, and Transcendence by Michael Pollan, the Johns Hopkins Psychedelic Research studies, etc.
And finally, I came here

Like many of us, I started with some Psilocybe Cubensis, but after growing more than a lifetime could need, I looked into broader horizons

Then, I found that cubes were the beginning and I grew fascinated by Mexican traditions.
I tried to grow some Psilocybe Mexicana var Jalisco and Psilocybe Tampanensis.

It was harder, but very rewarding ! The Jalisco strain is my favourite so far.

I've then bought dozens of prints and syringes :
  • Panaeolus Cyanescens Hawaii
  • Panaeolus Cyanescens Jamaica
  • Panaeolus Cyanescens Australia
  • Panaeolus Cyanescens Estero
  • Panaeolus Cambodginiensis Sandose Domesticate
  • Panaeolus Cambodginiensis Suphanburi Thailand “Goliath”
  • Panaeolus Bisporus
  • Panaeolus Tropicalis
  • Psilocybe Hoogshagenii (Semperviva) var Convexa
  • Psilocybe Caerulescens var Mazatecorum
    - (for later)
  • Psilocybe Cyanescens
  • Psilocybe Ovoideocystidata
  • Psilocybe Subaerugina
  • Psilocybe Allenii/Cyanofriscana
  • Psilocybe Semilanceata

Unfortunately, quite a few of them were bunks and I had tremendous problems growing them doing winter.
After spending a lot of money on electricity and trying all kinds of shitty "inventions", I just waited impatiently spring.

So in the last few days, I launched a massive offensive on my prints and the Psilocybe Hoogshagenii (Semperviva) var Convexa will hopefully be the next ones, I'm so excited !

I couldn't find good horse manure, but I might be able to procure some next week, and try the Pan Cyan.

I'm looking now to continue to learn and give back to the community.
I'll share Semperviva print as soon as I harvest them and I would like to do some trades.

Sincerely !

Aendir

Here's the beginning of the first flush, but they look like dwarves.

I don't think it's a lack of FAE since my SGFC have a lot of holes.

I'll wait to see the second flush.

Yeah, I'm yet to have the approval of a Martha/Greenhouse from my girlfriend

It might be correlated with the fact that the house is now a mycologist's den ! I use all the available space to store my jars/Petri/SGFC, etc.

Hey Elseta !

I tried different mix ratio with straw, store bought manure, verm and coco coir.

They seemed to all work well.

Thx LtLurker ! In discussion with my girlfriend, who knows

I'm sad because I had to leave for weeks and they're dying : /
