Pole Shift

Versus

Magnetic Reversal

If a pole shift happened, which is completely theoretical, their would be super tsunamis, massive earthquakes, and super volcanic eruptions. Think entire mountains forming in a blink of an eye!

A magnetic reversal, however, is simply the reversal of the magnetic field. The pole shift is the shifting of the physical poles as they slip over the Earths mantle and a magnetic reversal is the reversal of the field itself.

People often put both of these things together and call it a pole shift, but they do not happen at the same time and they are totally different. A pole shift being completely theoretical and a magnetic reversal being proven to happen many times in our past.

And magnetic reversals do not happen in specific time periods. The times between each reversal in Earths past varies greatly. There is no pattern inwhich they occur. The last one took place about 740,000 years ago.

There is also no hard and definite proof that there is going to be one anytime soon. The geomagnetic field often fluctuates without any significant results.

Just thought Id clear that up.

I was once skeptical, but open minded. With time, and reading, talking, experiencing with myself, thoughts, friends, random people... i believe it's true, and it's already running fast!

You can speak of it in many ways... science is a great way, but exhaustive.

This is about the magnetic reversal/pole shift scenario and if you do some research there is absolutely no proof of one of those happening in 2012. I dont believe the mayans or any prophit talked anything about it either. I dont even know where it came from. And thats why I dont believe thats what 2012 is about. What does a magnetic reversal even have to do with galactic alignment or the age of Aquarius?

Is that sarcastic? Ive read it in books and how it will happen in 2012, but no one explains why they would come to the conclusion that 2012 means magnetic reversal and there isnt alot of evidence to support it. Its almost like saying an asteroid will hit us in 2012. How did someone come to that conclusion?

The singularity idea cant really be proven, but their is experientail and scientific data that would agree we are exponentially growing. And it is common knowledge that information has been exponentially growing since the internet.

Sorry about the sarcasm! But that's a point.

I wouldn't precise everything about 2012 prophecy will happen, none would. Same for life in gliese 581 or aliens from mars.

I can understand, but I can't either prove it's impossible. There are many things to be learned.

Have you ever took mushrooms and found the solution for something in your life/mind out of nowhere, or something like that ? How would you prove it, for example ? How would you prove a shaman's affirmation from the past, in his time, that came to be truth later on?

2012 is a very big year, pointed by many cultures and skygazers, that's a sure thing. Keep reading your books! It's never enough. Knowledge is amazingly huge, if not infinite.

Suming it up, It proposes that if a lot of people mentalize a certain idea, we could start a very interesting phenomena. But what if we can really reach telephatic levels that would reach that certain stage ? Because it sounds outragerous doesn't mean it's impossible. Language is unprecise and symbolic, specially from the past and about myths.

Earth was considered flat by everyone, and witches burned doubting that. But earth was neither a cube.

Everyone who is analyzing data... says there will be a shift. Im talking about the World rotating the other way, Our north pole will be where Our south pole is now. Simply the earth will flip over in its rotation. Or maybe it will spin the other way.

It has to do with the mayans, because they couldnt complete their calender after the year 2012. We all keep time with the sun, and the stars. This means the sky will change somehow in 2012.

He actaully isn't, according to NASA. The pole shit will occur but not at once. In other words, our world will not suddenly flip upside down. It is nearly scientifically impossible. The shift will occur yes, I won't dispute that because of my own research, but it will be gradual and over hundreds if not thousands of years.
