Wooo! Big Weilii find.

Today was the third time my roommate and I went out looking for weiliis. And boy did we find em! In just a few hours and about a 2 mile stretch of highway we found around 3 or 4 pounds. (I'll have the count and actual weight soon) If I had a camera I'd post em here, but I don't so sorry. Also we stumbled on a yard that had well over 100 weiliis, including a cluster of about 30 (never seen one that big on the board).

To the person that was asking if its too cold, I guess not. I'll give a few hints out to those people still looking. We were north of Atlanta a little ways beyond the perimeter. Also (and I messed this up the first two times) when people say that the yard has to be 3-8 years old it does. And just driving around and spotting them is very difficult as they are a rather short mushroom, not growing that much farther than the grass. Low lying areas with short grass and decent drainage were primo. Also, housing developments, or apartment developments would be a good place to start.

i dont know about you but i wanna get my ass down to georgia or get a spore print or something see if we can get em to grow up here in the pnw wouldnt that be great if they just took overevery where :grin:

Awesome man!! I didn;t have my camera during most my prime picking, thus didn't get any good pics of clusters, plus it feels weird enough picking in someones yard let alone laying in the grass snapping pics. The cap to cap clusters are quite common. The biggest I have ever found had 70 mushrooms tightly clustered cap to cap. I find them all the time in 5-15 mushroom clusters, but its such a great sight to see 30+ mushrooms all together tightly clustered isn't it :smile:
