my grafting experiments (pics)

so I decided to do 2 experiment with a san pedro I have



first experiment will be too impale graft the top of this cacti to two perskopsis instead of one
so first I chopped the top of the cacti off



then I prepared the perskopsis, the I dug out the center ting of the san pedro and stuffed it on top of the two perkosis and stuck a needle from one of my other cacti through the pedro and two perskopsis



and back under my 400 w mh it goes

Now for my second experiment I grafted a single areole (spelling?) onto a perskopsis
the top one is the one I took



then I prepared the perskopsis and tried to line it up best as possible and placed another needle through them two



then I covered it with saran wrap and pulled down as to add pressure for a btter conection between the two and as a humidity tent



and back under my light it goes


I will update to let every one know how it all turns out

I was thinking of your graft when doing mine and the big difference is that mine has the two going into one point and hopefully they will work together to focus their energy into the vascular ring as one.

with yours going into so many different spots I think that the cacti probably didnt like trying to get its energy from different points as the cacti is used to just getting it from the base

this is just a theory of mine but either way the cacti will be supported by 2 instead of one and will hopefully be able to get twice as big before having to cut it and root it on its own.

one question though how long should I leave grafts in the humidity tent for?
I usually do about a week and a half does this seem about right to any one?
