contemplation & thinking

is true contemplation the same thing as thinking?

We use thinking as a tool, but the knowing that arises b/c of its use is above and beyond the process of thinking; it leads to our not being fooled by our thinking any more. you recognize that all thinkingis merely movement of the mind, and also that the knowing is not born and doesnt die. what do you think all this movement called 'mind' comes out of? what we talk about as the mind-all the activity-is just conventional mind. its not the real mind at all. what is real just IS, its not arising and its not passing away. :grin:

Everything is "what is", it is your thinking about it that naturally changes as you evolve. when you think" about "what is" you are contemplating "what is" and either seeking a change or just trying to understand "what is" which still affects "what" is on a mental level from your perception, this may lead to a physical change if enough mental energy is focused physically.

that was difficult. hope i explained it thoroughly.
