help colonizing

i need help from the pros out there. i recently got 3 spore syringes from tlg and set up jars with 3 different substrates; brown rice flour and vermiculite, brown rice flour and perlite, and rye berries with vermiculite. i used distilled water and 2 cc spores per jar and appear to have no contamination in any jars, but no colonization. i have purchased spore syringes in the past from jlf and had no problems, but now i'm stumped. tlg feels the spores were fine when they left there and mentioned that the only other thing was that they could have gotten hot in transit. any suggestions or help would be appreciated . thank you

Did you remember to shake the syringes before injecting?...  How long ago did you innoculate them?.  What temp are they at?..

yes i shook up the spore syringes . i followed the pf tek but just for comparisons i wanted to try some other combos in other jars. they are at 80 degrees and in the dark and it has been three weeks but nothing

3 weeks and NOTHING? Start over using a known good tek with multiple jars all done the same (proven) way.

i did follow the pf tec recipe to the tee, but in interest of being sure that it isn't the spore syringes do you have any recomendation for a source for sterilized tek jars?

boxtop i'm not trying to slam you i was just trying to get some advice. i have read enough from satisfied customers of yours to believe that you put out an outstanding product. i just wanted to see if there was a reliable source for pf tek jars to rule everything else out. if tlg had tek jars i would purchase them just to try to work this out. regardless after i get this worked out i will be ordering again. your delivery time was phenominal 2 days :grin:

Very bad advice, IMO. IME those jars suck and that vendor will not stand behind the product. They'll all contaminate with green and gray molds. Don't waste the exorbitant amount of money. Make your own.

i didn't receive them yet but that was more than expected!! i didn't feel right asking for a replacement from you but that fact that you sent me replacement syringes speaks volumes for tlg. i wiil be sure to let the forum know what kind of customer service you have!!!

All 12 jars contaminated shortly after you sent me the lousy $7.50.

No other jars I've done have EVER contaminated.

It took several e-mails and lots of convincing and arguing and finally a threat of slamming you in the vendor forum before you finally did some convaluted figuring to come out with an amount of $7.50 to keep me quiet.

I bought 12 pint jars from another vendor and when at 16 days they showed no sign of colonization (or anything else) he immediately and pleasantly refunded my money in full.

Don't continue this argument, you'll lose as you always do.

*EDIT* Just so everyone's aware... MicronMagick and Mycotek are one in the same. Don't be fooled.

I never asked him for a refund, simply told him what was happening and he just sent it all by himself.

I started a post some time back as a favor to the community that I would purchase pre-made jars from 2 different vendors to do a comparison of performance. That's why I bought 'em, but it ended up being a comparison of vendor performance more than jar performance and in this comparison you lost bigtime!

Anyone who deals with Micron Magick should get their wrist slapped, and will, by the vendor himself!

i just wanted to say that i received replacement spore syringes today from tlg even though the fault may not have been theirs. this is the first time that i have used them and i am more than impressed. not enough good stuff is said about the good vendors and i just wanted to let it be known!!!!!!!!!!!!!
