help colonizing
    #896426 -

i need help from the pros out there. i recently got 3 spore syringes from tlg and set up jars with 3 different substrates; brown rice flour and vermiculite, brown rice flour and perlite, and rye berries with vermiculite. i used distilled water and 2 cc spores per jar and appear to have no contamination in any jars, but no colonization. i have purchased spore syringes in the past from jlf and had no problems, but now i'm stumped. tlg feels the spores were fine when they left there and mentioned that the only other thing was that they could have gotten hot in transit. any suggestions or help would be appreciated . thank you

Did you remember to shake the syringes before injecting?...  How long ago did you innoculate them?.  What temp are they at?..

3 weeks and NOTHING? Start over using a known good tek with multiple jars all done the same (proven) way.

i did follow the pf tec recipe to the tee, but in interest of being sure that it isn't the spore syringes do you have any recomendation for a source for sterilized tek jars?

boxtop i'm not trying to slam you i was just trying to get some advice. i have read enough from satisfied customers of yours to believe that you put out an outstanding product. i just wanted to see if there was a reliable source for pf tek jars to rule everything else out. if tlg had tek jars i would purchase them just to try to work this out. regardless after i get this worked out i will be ordering again. your delivery time was phenominal 2 days

Very bad advice, IMO. IME those jars suck and that vendor will not stand behind the product. They'll all contaminate with green and gray molds. Don't waste the exorbitant amount of money. Make your own.

All 12 jars contaminated shortly after you sent me the lousy $7.50.

No other jars I've done have EVER contaminated.

It took several e-mails and lots of convincing and arguing and finally a threat of slamming you in the vendor forum before you finally did some convaluted figuring to come out with an amount of $7.50 to keep me quiet.

I bought 12 pint jars from another vendor and when at 16 days they showed no sign of colonization (or anything else) he immediately and pleasantly refunded my money in full.

Don't continue this argument, you'll lose as you always do.

*EDIT* Just so everyone's aware... MicronMagick and Mycotek are one in the same. Don't be fooled.

I warned you.

In reply to:
What honest and respectable customer asks for a refund on a product that shows mycelium growth and no contamination?

I never asked him for a refund, simply told him what was happening and he just sent it all by himself.

You have just shared a private e-mail in a public forum to try to defend your lying cheating ass. You have no scruples whatsoever. This practice is against the rules of this board. I refuse to stoop so low!

In reply to:
if I remember correctly I said go ahead and slam me I could careless.

Ya, right! You remember WRONG!! It was only after the threat that you changed from "no guarantees after innoculation" to "$18.00 / 12 = $1.50 per jar X 5 = $7.50 which will be credited to your PayPal account."

In reply to:
Also that's not exactly what you wrote in the email

Of course not... My correspondence with you was 12 days later! By then the other vendor's jars were just starting to show signs of growth.

In reply to:
Sure they did. I'm positive IF they would have you would have taken another picture and wrote me a 3 email requesting a full refund. It's the kinda person you are!

Wrong again! I just ate the loss because it was easier than dealing with YOU, Mycotek! Should I provide the proof it's you now? Forget it, that would mean stooping to your level... I won't go there.

In reply to:
If you never have problems why are you buying pre-made substrate? Seriously TM you have openly admitted that you have bought pre-made substates from 2 different vendors. Then you admit to having 2 different problems.

I started a post some time back as a favor to the community that I would purchase pre-made jars from 2 different vendors to do a comparison of performance. That's why I bought 'em, but it ended up being a comparison of vendor performance more than jar performance and in this comparison you lost bigtime!

Anyone who deals with Micron Magick should get their wrist slapped, and will, by the vendor himself!

In reply to:
Careful TM every time you point your finger at someone you always have 3 pointed back at you.

And when a vendor does this to a customer, especially in public, he loses 10 more! Just goes to show how smart YOU are!
