go with numark actually. they are better then the "beginner" grade stantons

get 2 of these

headphones cost a grip. but... they are VERY important so you can hear what the fuck is going on with the other record before you flip that switch to mix the 2 tracks together.

needles...
http://www.musictrends.com/twin-pack-p-11558.html
or go with SHURE needles

they are VERY important as well

if you practice at it, get good then look into a setup like mine

2 technics 1210MK5's , sony headphones, Ortofon/shure needles, behringer active studio monitors, Pioneer mixer... should run you betweeon $1,500- $2,200

oh! and for recording purposes. get the M-Audio sound card for your computer. it hooks up to the back of your mixer so you can record your sets live.

Eh... I'd skip vinyl and go for CD.  Vinyl is heavy, expensive, and doesn't last as long.  2x CDJ200s and a DJM707 if you can find one is a decent, fairly cheap setup.  Stay away from Behringer -- they are utter shit.  I guess it really depends on what kind of music you want to play but most edm genres have a substantial amount of mp3/cd releases to complement the vinyl releases.

go traditional. vinyl all the way.

an nah there is good behringer mixers out there.  they have some shitty ones, but i've played on some ones that i was very impressed with.

its all up to dude though on what he likes best.

Well, if your going to do that why not just skip the CDs too and just play MP3s off your laptop?

Go with vinyl.

CD and computer DJs are wack.

If I was DJing and not spinning vinyl I'd hate myself! It's about the vinyl.

i recommend getting cd and vinyl. Vinyl is just way too expensive. when i was first buying my decks, i was going to get cd's, but at the last minute, i decided to go vinyl. something that i regret to this day.
i'm glad that i did learn on vinyl, although i think i would actually jump on them more if i had more tunes.

Since the initial publication of the charged electromagnetic spectrum, humans
learned that what they can touch, smell, see, and hear... is less than one
millionth of reality.
