i wouldnt be living here if it werent for cheap rent.

and this may be a shitty town, but the families that lost their homes did not deserve what they got, nor did the cows and llamas that burned to death in the fields.

the few that looted the evacuated homes got what they deserved though.

and the serves you all right comment was really fucked, most of this area is bike riding hippies who grow their own food and dont pollute, and old people who just sleep eat and shit.
none of which caused this incident, nor provoked it.

the fire most likely was arson or a cigarette thrown out the window by some idiot who thinks hes got the biggest dick so its ok to throw embers into dry brush.

plus, this has very little to do with mother natures doing, although we have been having august type weather here, dry and hot.

none the less, i agree that beating up our earth is going to cause extreme weather and may even be our downfall, but telling the people at this site (the ones most likely to understand this) to enjoy this weather while they homes are being destroyed, is kinda fucked up.

to those who deserved it, right on, to those who didnt, oh god why?

my city, in hampton roads, was hazy as shit and stinky for 2 days because of that damn fire.

well as of an hour and a half ago the fire has been 100% contained,
74 houses burned, and many families including people with 7 children without homes
and
20 other structures were damaged but not destroyed, including houses

there was 1 human death, and many livestock were burned alive
34 square miles of land (gardens, forests, farms, yards, fields, parks) burned and destroyed

i do not feel what irishdrunk said was worthy of a ban, i just wish there was some way he could see things from a different angle.

seeing a shitty town burn up and saying we all deserved it is like saying that were justified in bombing innocent people in iraq right now because a select few of them ran planes into our towers.

same as being racist against all blacks or something cause one of them mugged you and so they all deserved to be called nigger :shrug:

if only people shatted a pineapple for every time they made a narrow-minded comment :smile:

see if the fire is on google earth, that way you can find a directional path u can take from ur address out to safety.  if that doesnt work, get out ur garden hose and get on your roof, only you can prevent em.
