I'll admit, I'm not real familiar with fires in California, but I think they're common. Maybe not 10,000 acre fires, but life destroying fires nonetheless.

It's something residents of that region of California know they may have to deal with. Just like living on a flood plain, ya know?

It's really sad, and I'm not being insensitive, just sayin...


We know it's a possibility, but it is not something that most of us plan for.  The great majority of CA residents will never have to deal directly with the devastation of a fire.

I personally would have packed up everything important that I could carry a long time ago, but that's just me.

that makes sense. and like I said, I wasn't trying to be insensitive about the subject, it clearly sucks.

It's kinda like us Illinoisans getting smashed by a tornado every now and then.

Doesn't happen often, and not really on a huge scale, but when it does it's devastating.

this fire is now the #1 priority in california right now, theres shitloads of people out here helping from all over CA.

im not at my house anymore, im a ways away, the flames are fast and are literaly "walking" up the mountain...

all got the fuck out of there too, and a few other shroomerites i dont know if they want their names mentioned but they werent able to make it home due to the evacuations. they are at a safe distance at least!

people are walking around claiming this is the coming of the lord and were all going to hell, people driving by smoking out of huge bongs, people throwing fists over small car accidents, RV's and small cars loaded to the roof with everyones belongings, the whole town in chaos.
so much anger and scaredness in everyones face.

im fairly sure my house (and the other shroomerites) is in the way of the flames :frown:
