How many people died instantly in Hiroshima? 70,000? Another 60,000 followed them to the grave in the next few months. How many of those were "innocents"?

They all were innocents as far as I know.  And yes, that was a tragedy.

The first man to die in the American Revolution was a black man. Do you think the British called him a hero? Hell no. He was an insurgent. So were the founding fathers...and so are we.

Who is the "good guys" and who is the "bad guys" is all just a matter of dates...and who won what war

We are not talking about wars where men in unfiform are targeted.  We are talking about instantaneous occurrences where many civilians are targeted and murdered.  Big difference.

No, I don't.

A cause worth fighting for is a cause worth fighting for. Principal, it's too bad it's so lacking in people.

American colonists armed with hunting rifles and such won a war against the highly trained and strongly disciplined military of an empire that spanned the globe... and the Hessian mercenaries.

In a more modern context (with modern weaponry), Fidel Castro led a revolution with a force of only a few hundred men, against a national army thousands of soldiers strong. Who is now in charge of cuba?

Standing armies never have and never will have an effective strategy against Guerrilla warfare.

Especially when the standing army is in Iraq and the guerillas are in the US

Would you join the rally if something along those lines was to occur?

I would fucking lead it.

I am as patriotic as they come. I love this country but I hate seeing what's being done with it. I will gladly lay down my life if it means preserving the principles this country was based on

 Thats good to see. I personally would like to see a change in government. But I'm not going to let the fact that the Bush admin. may have set up 9/11 deter me from remembering what happened on this day.

Of course. I deeply mourn the loss of every life that day. Still, I honor the dead and so I hate to see all this schlock that attempts to use their loss for someone's gain.

In another thread on another forum people are posting Yellowcard lyrics and talking about how great the song is and how great the band is...

If anything this day has shown just how stupid people are.
