Try salted, soy sauce, bbq sauce, and ranch. Not all at once though :wink:... you may be on to something tasty.

I swear I read something about someone adding a peppermint (something like that) to their substrate and improving the flavor of their mushrooms. I've been looking for the thread, but no luck yet. Anyone know what I'm talking about, or am I mistaken?

oh sweet. I have a half gallon or so of lsd lying around. and I love the taste of acid.
im gunna try dipping my shrooms in it and see if they taste better.

I really can't see peppermint going well with shrooms, but if that works then who knows? Until I find that thread and/or try it, I think I'll try your honey idea. Sounds good to me!

Actually, peppermint may be advantageous. In phytopharmacology we know that peppermint aids in digestive problems, like an upset stomach, nausea and indigestion. ( By the way, spearmint is for young children with upset stomachs, peppermint is too strong for them.)
I'm not saying to add it into your substrate, although.....
Basicly, if you ingest peppermint tea in conjunction with your mushrooms, it MAY relieve gastric upset, to a degree.
Someone suggested taking cayenne pepper capsules, or papaya/pineapple enzymes to speed digestion and possibly aid in potency due to rapid absorbtion into the bloodstream via the stomach.
Or if stomach upset is a really big problem for some and nothing else works, consider entericly coated capsules; they will dissolve in the lower intestine, not the stomach.
Well, anyone have any experience, or willing to try it?

I'm going to give honey a try. And maybe, just a maybe a few for will get basted in ranch dressing for my next salad;_)
