From the thread DMT is more than a drug, there was a link about the Holographic Universe. This Idea that the Universe is like a hologram; all parts represent the whole and are interconnected. In a real holographic picture, when light is shined onto it a 3-D image appears, if you cut it into any number of pieces each piece can project the whole picture. Much like our cells, only a tiny portion of our body, but they contain the information for the entire body as well.
In an experiment done, two particles split and brought 14 miles apart would exhibit communication faster than the speed of light. When one was touched, the other would instantly respond as well. This lead these scientist to believe that the separation of the atoms is no more than a delusion of ours in our universe, which according to these people is really a hologram, and everything we see is really a projection from 2-D. These are all just theories, and I am explaining them poorly and briefly, just google the holographic universe or principal to find a better description.
One conclusion of this is that all matter, every particle is connected to everything else; a theme present a lot in the psychedelic community. This leads to the next part, Dark Energy, or the Divine Matrix as Gregg Braden puts it. This is energy present everywhere in the universe, it is the reason the universe is accelerating in its expansion, some say it is the creator of all matter as it exists everywhere. Interestingly, Max Planck proposed this 'force' everywhere that let everything exist, he called it a matrix, this was in the 40s, long before Dark energy was shown to exist in the 1990s.
Gregg Braden calls this energy the Divine Matrix, which us as humans can communicate through emotions as he says. He, along with others, claim it is an intelligent field, maybe a god if you will, and that its consciousness comes from our own consciousnesses. He says that through this field of energy existing everywhere we connect to each other, the human race transcends together through the powers of consciousness. You can youtube this for more information, but this is also something people talk about from trips, this field of energy everywhere. Gregg gained a lot of his knowledge through studying ancient texts.
WHERE AM I GOING?! you ask, well bare with me. The human mind is said to be holographic as in that it stores information throughout the whole, not just in one place. Stanislav Grof has proposed that psychedelics lend a sort of gateway into to this holographic realm. What is a hologram again? Well one good definition is a pattern, whole and complete, but within it another pattern whole and complete, and it as well part of an even larger patter, whole and complete. This leads us to Fractals. Fractals could be considered holographic in this manner as they have an infinite repeating pattern, everywhere in this same manner.
SO, do psychedelics really reveal to us the holographic nature of the universe and reality, is DMT letting us see the other dimensions of the universe that are not in our hologram (I want to explore this hypothesis soon, with my first DMT breakthrough). Is our species amazing abilities due to our ancestor's use of psychedelics? Did these substances let us gain knowledge of the energy matrix and the universe's reality? Is this principal of the universe and infinitely penetrating energy the key to higher levels of evolution and consciousness? Gregg Braden believes that by changing our emotions we can influence the field for our better. All of these topics are so diverse and complicated I am trying my best to explain my plethora of ideas.
Some final thoughts--in a holographic universe, everything we see is an illusion, and we do not live in 'this' world but are just receivers projected into a dimension through this holographic principal. Ancient teachings say quite similar things, for example eastern schools of through have maintained that all of the world is Maya, an illusion. Shamans of the amazon believe that we are just receivers and our souls live in the sun(Quantum Physicists and Shamans Agree?) These are all just ideas that came to me in the last few days, they are in their infancy and I'm sorry for any incoherency or poor language I shall edit later. These are all just ideas open for criticism and debate, in final:
We Are All One!
Discuss!
-------------------- "A human being is part of the whole, called by us 'Universe'; a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely but striving for such achievement is, in itself, a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security." Albert Einstein

Ill add after reading on holographic principle, that i have heard of this idea, just not called that.
Much of what is on the suface may teach us what is further down the rabbit hole. I've heard some musings (i wish i remembered where or at least had a link) that even in our brains that a single nerve cells may even contain memory of everything. This is no new thing of course, similar ideas can be found in literature and even a few japanese cartoons i've seem (namely akira). It's as if the entire universe is a living, breathing organism itself that we cannot comprehend the biomechanics of.
Just like when i'm buzzing out on mesc and see rivers of organic material transform into a kaleidoscope of eyes that transforms into a creature which transforms into a neon sign... i watch and do not understand the connections at all, let alone the manisfestations themselves.
