i was just reminiscing tonight about how i felt about the shroomery when i first found it.

my drug trips centered alot around finding people that i would feel close to, who would show me the path to peace, happiness, perfection, all that good stuff.
pretty much every trip i ever had i felt like i was looking for those people. i naturally associate drug trips and drug users with that feeling of searching, i thought all the people on the shroomery were really cool an smart when i first found it, i thought connections would be made and divine secrets revealed by the more experienced, or that somehow we'd all be parallel processing and coming up with fantastic ideas.

i never found those people, i only see glimmers of magic here and there

Well, reading threads about people who proudly throw bottles at bikers who inconvenience them in their car, risking injuring or even killing the biker, and others who are cruel and give me the impression they would have been at home abusing people in WWII concentration camps and who would revert to some scary behavior if civilization ever collapsed, and still others who are so stupid and brainwashed by DARE propaganda that they embarrass themselves unwittingly by regurgitating the DARE party line as they justify anti-drug laws and other forms of oppression yet somehow think they're well-educated on the subject all make me lose faith in the human race, yeah. (Sorry for the run-on) :tongue:

Even away from Shroomery we have a president who has caused the death of many thousands of people mostly over ego and money, then after cheapening life and setting that horrible example he wonders why kids bring guns to school and kill themselves, taking a few students and teachers with them.

I look around at the way humans think and behave and wonder if we haven't already passed some downhill threshold past which humans will never recover. It would really depress me if I wasn't lucky enough to be able to surround myself with friends while isolating myself from the rest of the human race.

Do you think it's reasonable to expect children to create their own independant opinions based on such a limited base of information to work with? If one doesn't fully understand, what are the alternatives to resorting to what you've been taught? (Other than simply admitting that you don't know, which very few people seem able to do)

I only wish ice had afforded me the piece of mind(s).
I hope I can contribute to the loss of faith.
A part of me knows that it starts with an eighth.
At least those even though they might not make a lick of sense
don't hold others up to some expectation as they sit on the fence.
Loosing faith implies some previously held bar.

yeah somewhere along the night i found so of my other buddies i hadnt seen in a while and got good kisses and lsd :shrug:

altho i kinda like this cause they will throw me into their trip with vibes as well so then im just tripping on vibes even harder. I got called a shapeshifting lizard people even tho she knows i just shift into a lizard cause i turn into way more then that and its not my true nature. :reaper:
