Mushroom Fair in Denver, Sunday, August 11

The Colorado Mycological Society will be holding its annual Mushroom Fair on Sunday, August 11, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Denver Botanical Gardens. The public is invited. There is an admission fee to enter the Gardens (if you're not a member), but admission to the Fair costs nothing extra beyond that. Admission to the Denver Botanical Gardens is $6.50 for adults, $4.00 for students (with ID) or children 4-15 years old.
The official identifier this year will be Dr. Jack States, now retired as Emeritus Professor of Biology and Adjunct Professor of Botany at the University of Wyoming, Laramie, after teaching biology and mycology at Northern Arizona University for 25 years. He is also the author of the book Mushrooms and Truffles of the Southwest.
You are invited also to bring any mushrooms you may have found for identification. Here are some tips for collecting that will help us ID your specimen:
Collect only fresh, whole specimens. Unless you believe it to be very rare or unusual, do not bring in a single one. Try to get buttons along with other young to mature individuals. Make sure you get the base of the stem. Brush dirt off lightly and make sure too much dirt doesn't damage the specimens.
Make a few notes on a small piece of paper to include with the specimen - record habitat, and include a sprig or leaf of host plant with the specimen as a reminder. If the mushrooms are small and in moss leave a small amount of that material around the specimen to help keep it moist. If possible, write down obvious features that might disappear, such as veil attachment, colors, odor, or taste. Make a note where you found the mushroom (not *exactly* where - "east side of Loveland Pass at about 11,000 feet" is good).
Put the specimen in a container, using a firm container for small, delicate specimens and wax paper (or something similar) or larger ones. Keep each collection separate from other kinds. The compartmented boxes for fly fishermen are excellent for very small specimens. Place a small piece of moistened paper towel in the bottom of the container to help keep the mushrooms moist.
If possible, make a spore print. The shiny side of freezer paper is excellent for this.
A few "do not" suggestions: Do not freeze or wash or put specimens in water. Do not leave your specimens in a hot car. Refrigerate or put in a cooler. Do not collect specimens in plastic bags. They sweat and rot.
If you bring in a well collected and noted specimen of something interesting we may want to keep it in the herbarium at the Botanical Gardens in perpetuity (No, you don't have to give up your specimen).
I will try to answer questions about the Fair in this thread. Hope to see some of you there.

Going out tomorrow to find some mushrooms for the fair. I'll take pictures - I just gotta figure out how to upload them to here. I tried a sample photo earlier and had problems. I might have to do something with my firewall to make it happen. Is there a more detailed description of the process than a "do this do that" thread so I can see if I need to make configuration changes?

This is a test post of a photo I took a couple weeks ago.
The species is close to Galerina atkinsoniana.

There! That worked. Apparently Mozilla doesn't work with the photo upload for some reason. I tried IE and it worked fine. (That should probably end up in the "how to post photos FAQ or something).
For scale, the largest cap in the photo is about 8mm across.
