Brain hemorrhage with mushrooms?

I was recently told that mushrooms cause your brain to hemorrhage, does anyone know anything about this?

I think you misunderstood the question. I am not discussing copious amounts of blood draining from your brain, but minor bleeeding of nerve receptors.
I have never heard this arguement before and so I am hoping someone can tell me some scientific data to either dispell this notion or prove it, hopefully the first instead of the latter.

If you're that worried about them being bad for you don't take them. I don't think acid or mushrooms cause much, if any, physical damage. I believe most of the damage is psychlogical. Personally, I think alcohol and nicotine are both more toxic and more addictive, yet are legal.

Seriously man, don't listen to people's bullshit about drugs. The idea of a temporarily bleeding brain is really quite ridiculous. There is no 'minor' brain hemmoraging. Go to www.erowid.org to look up everything on any drug.

When I trip, about 40% of the time my face and neck get really red. I have roseacia and I think the increase in blood pressure is the reason for the flair up, but while I am triping I feel fine. After the trip I am doing usualy better than normal and have noticed no ill physical side effects. IMO the hemoraging thing is bullshit.

Mushrooms may temporarily raise your blood pressure, but probably no more so than caffeine or nicotine. If shrooms do cause a ruptured blood vessel then it would have happened anyway.
You will definitely notice if there is anything critically wrong. You will get a terrible headache and usually experience some other very noticeable symtoms like nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or other signs that something is obviously not right. Every day some of your small blood vessels rupture but you don't even notice because if you are healthy they quickly clot and heal. There's some redundancy in the system. It is usually only damaging if a major vein or artery bursts.
My mom had a blood vessel rupture in her head. Luckily she got promt medical attention and suffered no permanent damage although for a few months afterward she saw crystal and pixel patterns in her vision from time to time. That is kind of interesting, like natural flashbacks of a sort.
