Melodic tribal/classical music?

Anyone know and recommend any bands or musicians that play tribal-like or classical music that are more on the darker, mellow melodic side? Similar to Chopin, Godspeed you Black Emperor!, Loreena Mckennit celtic/middle eastern/fusion or Apocalypto/Gladiator/Braveheart etc. kind of stuff?  :strokebeard:

Dead Can Dance - "Toward the Within" "A Passage in Time" and "Spiritchaser" :mushroom2:

Dead Can Dance is Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard, also check out their solo stuff like Gerrard's "The Mirror Pool", she also sings on the Gladiator soundtrack.

when it comes to middle eastern, the closest ive got is Anoushka Shankar(probably butchered the spelling)...shes Ravis Shankar's daughter (played sitar with the beatles)..her album Rise is beautiful fairly classical indian music (but then again i dont know shit about indian music). I don't listen to nearly enough classical music, but i've always been crazy about Mozarts Requiem...namely the movement Lacrimosa...gives me the chills
