Maybe. I'm thinking there was some kind of term that talked about electronic music, specifically IDM-ish music, redone symphonically. (that's a word, right?) I'm not sure if it even matters, I just absolutely love the stretch artists are making to replicate RDJ, etc.
Plus, I love the music! So far, I know Bad Plus, Alarm Will Sound, and (someone told me) ... ... ... ... dammit! I forget , someone redid "Come To Daddy" w/ Mike Patton(?). Anyone know about that?

i don't know the term that you are looking for...
but some artists... Bonobo pops immediately to mind.. when performing live do use instruments from an orchestra rather than electronically doing everything...
