That is what a proponent of any prediction will say. Of course, if the statement had predictive value, we could determine its likelihood of occurence in the first place. Simply stating that it will happen isn't a prediction to be considered.

Some of us people require at least some amount of substance or substantiation before there is any reason to consider a possibility. Your attempt to portray it as "not being able to handle possibility" is simply an attempt to convey indirect personalisms. :thumbdown:

Yes, substance and truth is an anality in comparison to "this is what I think and this is truth but I don't feel like dealing with substantiating anything". :strokebeard: 

We don't need to be told we need to pull our heads out. It isn't the purpose or intention of this forum, and its agansit the rules. I'm requesting that you respect the nature of this forum, as well as my responsibility to ensure it is moderated in accordance with its purpose and intention.

Understanding how something the size of a galaxy works gravitationally is hard, I know. The net gravitational pull is not towards a "center" or anything. Because the mass of the galaxy is spread out, the gravitational pull experienced at any given point is also spread out. Further, the amount of gravity experienced from all but the closest stars is drastically small.

So what is more likely? That the plain of the solar system is more or less randomly chosen by local effects at the time of formation...or that it is the way it is because it came from another galaxy?

I want proof of Reason #2...link?
