lsd or mushrooms, which one is more beneficial?

hi
which of those two drugs do you find more beneficial for "real life", regarding rhetorics, multi-faceted thinking, social competence, creativity, artistic capabilities?
i think, that lsd definitely causes a trip, which is more intense and more beautiful, but after the comedown it leaves me sitting still, staring at one spot with a total vacuum in my head
sometimes, i have difficulties forming a clear sentence and all my thoughts a veery sloow
it's hard to talk to other people and it's hard doing any sensible tasks
so my opinion is, that the trip itself is much better on lsd
but you can't take anything of it back into real life
its like virtual reality which stops, when it stops
it's more of a recreational thing to do
mushrooms, for me, have been a lot more beneficial
lsd is just another drug which makes you wasted after you come down
mushrooms are more like a medicine, not really suitable for recreational use, for me, they are the "real" consciousness expanding psychedelic, lsd is just simulating all of that
all the thoughts i have on lsd just turn out to be nonsense at the end of the trip (veeery few exceptions there, barely noticeable)

what do you think?

Shrooms are more spiritual and self exploring, lsd is mindfuck and I get HPPD from LSD.

well I've never had trouble communicating after lsd use. In fact for me thoughts flow more freely. Also I feel kinda rejuvenated the day after. Haven't tried mushrooms yet so I'll let ya know when I do.

I would think that especially if you find or grow the mushrooms, you obviously know and have more control of what is in them than you do by buying a piece of paper, etc....that is supposed to contain pure lsd.

I don't feel like I've been much changed by mushrooms. They made me make some actions that needed to be made and that's all I've benefited from them.
LSD and LSA in the other hand have changed my view on world and persons drastically. I can truly say I'm not the person I was before trying those substances. I love it. They made me see the world as it is and thought me how to be happy within it.

I wouldn't say one is more beneficial than the other, but I feel LSD is certainly more a predictable "drug".

Ive done a lot of drugs, but only one psychedelic, mushrooms. I have wanted to try them since i was about 17 or 18, and didnt get the chance (actual trip) till i was 19. I had a feeling i would love them and sure enough i did. Mushrooms are EASILY AND BY FAR my favorite substance tried from my curious mind....and i think the curiosity is a big part of why my trips are so great. My name referrers to a spirituality realized and expanded via curiosity, but more of a consciousness has "breached" in to my reality, its something thats real and not just me....very few this will make sense to. Anyway i dont have a desire to try lsd, i have a feeling i could predict it and i think itd be more like the "i wanna get fucked up" mindsets drug of choice, rather than the "mystical spiritual self exploring" mindsets drug of choice.

In the end we all do drugs for different reasons but we can all be categorized in to groups.

curiosity/self expansion
mindless self indulgence
wanting to be cool
wanting to escape or hide/run from something
The latter 3 to me are what "potheads" and "cid heads" come from. Now i had a fair bought with weed but it loses its expansive properties after time and just begins to make you dull, facts.
In the end people should think of what things are going to do to your brain in the long run, after all its really all we have a claim to specialty from. I think lsd effects on the brain have shown themselves time and time again therefore im turned off of it. Ive met a lot of dumbass acid freaks.

I really believe that LSD and Mushrooms are two totally different types of trips. Alot of people will disagree, but I they really aren't common at all. The only time they are common are at low doses. I have found LSD to be more of a visual psychadelic. When I take acid I see things that really aren't there. I get alot of colors and just seeing crazy shit. Mushrooms are more of a thinking psychadelic. When I am on mushrooms I jsut think and think and think. Just about crazy things that I would never think about while sober. I do get visuals on mushrooms, but it seems more of a bending of reality.

One example I have is a bush outside of my apartment building. I have looked at this bush on a nice dose of acid and about a quarter of shrooms. With the mushrooms it looked like the leaves were moving but you could still tell that they actually werent' going anywhere. They appear to be moving but they never actually do. Now when looking at the bush on acid it you can acutally see it move. I could actually grab the leaf with my fingers and feel it bending.

I get alot from both acid and shrooms. I always bring back something to help improve on my life right now. The comedown between the two is so different to me also. Like stated above I really don't feel well after I do acid. If I have any disturbing imagery it is while I am trying to go to sleep once I am down but not completely down. but on mushrooms my whole comedown is compeltely fantanstic.

How can you possibly label the psychedelic experience? All the time people say "mushrooms are more spiritual" or "lsd gives better visuals" or something along those lines. Maybe this is true for you, but this is absolutely not true for everyone who uses psychedelics. I don't have a preference to any substance, they are each just different. As for one having something that others don't, maybe you're not taking the right dosage or your set and setting weren't right. Mushrooms or LSD, to me, have never felt they were lacking anything. I had some of the most life-changing and mind-altering experiences on both substances and neither is "more suited to life." It's all in the eye of the beholder.

I agree totally on the mushroom part....again the acid part i cant add too much to, all i can really say is ive met a lot of fucked up ex- acid heads. And ive never seen that with shrooms....as far as the labeling goes with lsd or psilocin.... i think its fair to label it to a good degree but theres also truth in your eye of the beholder theory. again as you speak theres shades of gray you must also consider it in everything not just one....so as part of this diversity the chemical compounds do exist as they are and a human brain as different as it is, is still made up of the same materials and uses very similar neuron pathways no matter how you look at it.
It would be like saying "weed does not increase appetite how could you say that, it doesnt increase for john doe!" but at this point you're playing the devils advocate and what you say is something that normally goes without saying. Of course not everyone is the same but i think what kung is saying is exactly what i personally have gathered and I highly doubt that its coincidence.

Actually, it wouldn't be like saying "weed doesn't increase appetite" at all. That has nothing to do with what I was saying and is actually a really poor comparison. What it would be like saying is that yes, LSD and mushrooms both produce a "trip" for everyone, but what that "trip" is like depends on the individual.

Um to combat your statement though: no, it wouldnt be like saying they both produce trips THAT is a poor comparison. See because EVERYONE doesnt get hungry from smoking weed. Ive seen people get energetic and wired. It is about the individuals metabolism, strain etc etc. Now see im not completely disagreeing with what youre saying by any means. All im saying is, the "generalizations" we have both made holds true for a great majority of people, not EVERYONE.

LSD has defintately had more impact. Probobly it's longer duration, long afterglow and lucidity contribute to this. I think the main factor is that LSD shows you the BIG PICTURE and it is a perceptual shift beyond thought and even emotion. LSD has changed me much more than mushrooms.

Mushrooms are much more detail oriented and operate within thought, but because often you are thinking stuff on mushrooms it is less profound than if it was burned into your skull. Their scope is more biographical, or at least personalized, so it seems they do good with individual problems or insights but they are not as mind expanding once they are over. They are more advanced substances in the sense that you really get IT on LSD better and mushrooms are once you've passed that point. I feel the effects just drop off and I'm back to normal with a few memories and lingering thoughts. LSD does not do that.

If you already look at "the big picture" kind of naturally, and what you say is true about mushrooms (which it is but i feel somes left out :P) than wouldnt that in its self give you insight to "the big picture"? Yet its personalized so theoretically more comprehensible?
