Any other gardeners out there?
    #7132265 -

The well-established cannot be uprooted.
The well-grasped does not slip away.
Generation after generation carries out the ancestor worship without break.

Cultivate it in yourself and virtue will be real.
Cultivate it in the family and virtue will overflow.
Cultivate it in the town and virtue will be great.
Cultivate it in the country and virtue will be abundant.
Cultivate it in the world and virtue will be everywhere.

Therefore, take yourself and observe yourself.
Take the family and observe the family.
Take the town and observe the town.
Take the country and observe the country.
Take the world and observe the world.

How do I know the world as it is?

By this.

- Tao Te Ching

This is my first season. Mine is mostly non-functional, aesthetic, but I do have a few herbs that I will enjoy at the end of the season. So far its mostly characterized by its ferns and moss.

I cant believe how satisfying it is, and for no obvious reason!

I would like to start a garden of my own, but right now there's no real accommodations for that.

I have also found gardening to be extremely fulfilling. just being so close to the dirt and seeing how alive it is and having an intimate connection with the plants can give you a greater grasp of just how integrated the world is. I think the gardening is a *grounding* experience... it takes you away from all the bullshit in the world today.

I couldn't agree more. It brings great satisfaction growing delicious/beautiful plants of your own, gardening is very relaxing. I would say it's almost as fulfilling as growing mushrooms...almost.

I am grounded in the earth.
My roots run deep.

I love to make things grow and have found as I deepen my own personal roots the fruits of my garden have become plentiful. Used to be I couldn't make hardly anything grow and now it seems only minimal effort is required (ok well weeding requires some work!). I am a nurturer.

Right on Mushbaby

I think what is so satisfying for me is how self sufficient they become. They largely rely on just a little action on your part.

Someone should post some pics.
