I picked up a kilo of MHRB recently, very high quality stuff.



I also picked up a couple of 2oz bottles of this MAOI to potentiate DMT-



I cut it up into 1" pieces and then used a coffee grinder to pulverize it into very fine material.
I carefully weighed out 80gms of the material in 20gm increments.



I then put the 80 grams in this



I then added some of this-



I then took this



and put it on this magnetic stirrer/hot plate



After 48 hours this is the result......



as you can see there is very nice separation of the liquid and the pulp. Notice the beautiful deep purple color of the juice.

This is a project underway. The next step is to either pour the fluid off into a separator funnel and allow to sit further another day or just siphon the purple juice off with a baster, either way the resultant liquid will be poured into an evaporating dish.
I should note hear that 80grams was chosen because I generally only need 8 grams of this stuff to achieve a fully psychedelic state of being. So My hypothesis is that in the end I will have 10 very strong doses.
I believe this method of crude extraction to be extremely efficient in extracting most all of the DMT contained there in.
I must note here for those not familiar with exactly whats going on, The objective of this process is to use the leftover residue in the evaporation dish just like it is putting it into gel caps. So the total of the material left in the evaporating dish will be weighed, and then I will divide it by ten and that will be one dose.

I have not decided yet whether I will evaporate the Harmaline solution also or just use it as a liquid. I have more pictures than I cant upload today as I have exceeded my limit so.... Expect more photos tomorrow. This is my second time doing this procedure. The first time I did it with 10gms of MHRB. I got a single dose that was great!

I will keep you all posted with updates and a trip report when complete.
I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions regarding this Tek.

You should have added some ammonia to help increase possible yields during the heating process.. Its worth a try.

I like that idea my problem is my lack of knowledge and experience in basic chemistry. I wouldnt know how much amonia to use. The stir/heating consisted of 250RPMs at + or - 110 deg F. I didnt want to turn the heat up too high because of flamability issues with the everclear.

Just grab a normal bottle you see at the store, google the brand name along with MSDS and you should be able to find the exact ammonia w/v percentage.

I think its usually 5 percent, Id start off with about 100-200 mls or so and reduce the ethanol a bit.. work with experience. Youve got no lab.

Also, dont be worried about heating alcohol... Im sure you could go a little higher with that set up youve got running there. Its too bad youve not got a reflux apparatus you could set up...


Id recommend heating your erlenmeyer flask in a water bath.. put it in a bigger beaker and fill that with water and heat the flask indirectly through the beaker.. If the alcohol decides to "pop" it will just fall into the water.

Thanks allot for the info I am keeping notes I will do that next time around. You are correct about the hot plate/stirrer, The temp settings go up to just under 900 Deg Fahrenheit. As fine as I grounded up the material I don't think its going to take that much effort to get all of the DMT out. Notice the color of the flask when it was first mixed and the last picture. The color change is amazing. There is allot of active ingredient in that.

Theres no doubt that there is plenty of active ingredient in that.. just know that its not necessarily true that as the solution becomes stronger in colour the alkaloid content increases just as rapidly.

You're working with plant material, theres plenty of organic matter in it.. a strong colour change usually indicates that the pigments from the plant have carried over into solution.


The 48 hour heating w/out a base probably didnt help avoid extracting plant matter.. Id suggest lowering the heating time significantly next time and just add ammonia (NaOH will work, but may not as well because of the low solubility in ethanol). Doing this will keep most of the extra crap out while keeping potency intact.

Once I separate the liquid from the rough organic matter and filter is there a simple way to reduce the level of tannins without reducing the amount of active ingredient?
My thought on this is high tannin content = nausea.

You could work out an acid base extraction.. yeah.

Youve not added base, so maybe washing with water then adding some organic solvent like naphtha to remove the tannins would do the trick.

True, mature plant material isnt always easily digested in humans.

Allow the liquid to sit in a fridge and allow the solids to settle out. Than pour the liquid out.

My guess is when you evaporate out the everclear, you will be left with a solid material that will take up 2 or 3 00 capsules per dose. I've done the same thing except used vinegar to extract out the actives. A dose came out to 4 00 capsules.

You can skip the acidification step of the extraction.
There are verry little fats in mimosa hostilis
You could probably get around 10 grams from a kilo of bark, suspecting good yields.

Sorry it took so long to continue this.... I took a short vacation.... So here we are. I took these two pieces of gear


Put them together with a piece of nylon for a filter...



Before and after filter...


Soooo... as you can see 150 ml of organic material gone. 250 ml of liquid.....
I'm pretty busy right now, but, I will get it into an evap dish later today. I will post pics and document the evap duration......

Ok here is the filtered solution in a pyrex baking dish. I'm expecting a couple of days evap time, or less in these high temps.

It's been a while since I have updated this. It only took three days for the liquid to completely evaporate and what was left in the dish was a hard shiny residue. I thought it was going to be stick it was not. Sorry I don't have a picture. I easily ground up the residue. It was very brittle. I weighed it out and then loaded it up into gel caps.


as you can see the final product weighs 17.6 grams. I started with 80 grams I was planning on getting 10 doses out of it. Now I am thinking more like 5- 8 doses.
I have 21 and a half gel caps. This is not an exact science. Using my always reliable SWAG method of measuring out the right amount I am gonna go with 2 and a half gel caps the first time and adjust accordingly.
I will take the caps tonight in an outdoor setting I plan on taking two droppers of liquid Harmaline to potentiate.


I'll let you know how it goes....

Well its almost 9:00AM Its just about time to get some shut eye.

That was a wild one.

I thought I would post a little info here on what I did and what happened. I consumed two full eye droppers of the 5x Harmaline Tincture (as I understood when I purchased it 1 full dropper was = to 250mg) I put one dropper full in a cup of green tea and sipped it slowly over 15 minutes. Next I prepared an identical cup of tea w/1 dropper of the 5x Harmaline Tincture. With the first sip of this cup I swallowed down 3 full gel caps of the Mimosa Xtract. I was feeling the effects of the Harmaline about half way through my second cup of tea , so, about 30 minutes after the first sip from the first cup. I should note here that I had fasted for about 12 hours prior to this adventure, with the exception of a bowl full of white rice I ate about 45 minutes before I began drinking the tea.
One Hour after the first sip both cups of tea were gone. At that point I had a very nice feeling of euphoria. It was a giddy feeling almost as you felt as a kid on Christmas day or the way you felt when you knew you were gonna get your first piece of ass. That feeling started to become more of a drunk feeling and I was experiencing visual distortion. Light trails and fog. I remember about one hour after finishing the second cup questioning myself as to whether I was feeling anything other than the MAOI. I was not and had not felt any nausea at all. I decided I needed a drink of water I grabbed the water bottle uncapped it and put it to my lips the next thing I realized I was traveling upward through the water bottle, I was floating in this viscous liquid space. There were light waves all around me, colorful light waves. The medium I was floating in had so many individual points of entry within the area I was in, as I was floating there were illuminated colorful geometric patterns that would zap into the world around me, and they would congratulate me.... No they would honor me. They were telling me how perfect I looked and felt. Every new point of colorful light that came into my surrounding acknowledged me. I believe there were millions a second flashing around me. I couldn't understand how U was keeping up. By the way the visuals did not change, eyes open or eyes closed. I kinda just got lost in it.

I am having a very difficult time getting this out.

I started drinking the tea at about 9PM. My best guess is the DMT started to kik in around 10:30PM. I did stand up and look at my watch at 1:44AM it was dark out but it wasn't. I could see a million stars out. All fo them were illuminating the ground below me, some of the stars illuminated a double helix ray of light that made sound. Other stars shone down and projected a geometrical pattern on the ground that seemed to vibrate or dance to its own beat. I wanted to walk and I tried. I was concerned about stepping on any of the light patterns on the ground.
It all was so beautiful and yet overwhelming. I was never afraid. I laid back down and drifted and drifted. one colorful scene melted into the next. I awoke to my wrist watch alarm at 6AM I was on Terra Firma again. At this moment I feel great. Refreshed.

Lessons learned?

I got very lucky. My SWAG method of selecting the correct dosage and spacing between doses worked perfect. I wouldn't of wanted to be any more gone than I was. The duration was just right

I believe the white rice may have helped me from getting nausea.
I had a totally awesome journey. Better than all the Shroom or LSD trips I have ever done combined.

I want to do it again very soon, I will.

I gotta crash for a while....
