Toss in a song.

I'm making a cd for an upcoming voyage. Throw me a must-listen or your favorite tripping song.
One of my favorites is Herbalist Rule by cEvin Key, I would turn it up really loud on acid trips, the driving bass and euphoric rhythm is incredible, I used to think of it as "the song of life" while tripping, hehe, drugs.

Single favourite song:
Tool - Third Eye: THE BEST tripping song ever made. It's not just a song, it's an experience. 14 minutes long. Not coincidentally, this song is the last track on THE BEST tripping album ever made: Aenima. Other choice Tool: Stinkfist, Disgustipated, Reflection, Eulogy... oh man just go buy all their albums. Anyway if you listen to any of my suggestions, let it be this one.
Other Choice numbers: The Doors - The End Radiohead - Pyramid Song, Paranoid Android Black Sabbath - Planet Caravan Jimi Hendrix - Machine Gun (Live at Fillmore East) Beck - Sweet Sunshine, Blackhole Pearl Jam - Tremor Christ Soundgarden - Limo Wreck, Head Down Alice in Chains - Hate to Feel, Rain When I Die Tool - Pushit
-------------------- Welcome evermore to gods and men is the self-helping man. For him all doors are flung wide: him all tongues greet, all honors crown, all eyes follow with desire. Our love goes out to him and embraces him, because he did not need it.

"By the Ocean" by Joules Graves is a favorite of mine while tripping... Turned up LOUD with headphones is the best....
If you can't find it on Kazaa or something like that, PM me and I'll send it to you somehow if you are really interested.

Tool - Merkaba, a fucking great song. Most of the live versions of songs on Salival are GREAT. Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd, there are shitloads of other great Floyd songs, take your pick Personal favourite is Ummagumma Disc 1 by Pink Floyd. 4 live songs spanning 40 mintues and WILL tingle your tenses like no other song. Absolutely amazing.

I agree with all of Newt's pics but nothing is better than the Dead, something about Robert Hunters words! I would throw in Close to the Edge by Yes!

jeez so hard to pick one song. I'll do my best, but i HAVE to include a few honerable mentions. I'll try and include a nice variety.
***Chemical Brothers - Sunshine Underground oh boy, what a journey
HMs: Tool - Lateralus (mmmm fibonacci sequence...) !! Biosphere - Kobresia (full of wisdom) ! Vivaldi - Summer (from the 4 Seasons suite; naturally perfrect) Sigur Ros - Staraflur The Orb - Fluffy Little Clouds (even better, I live in Arizona) Autechre - Rae (mmmm tempo change...) Cream - Tales of Brave Ulysses (tiny purple fishes) Boards of Canada - Telephasic Workshop (what was that?)
Those are the best. all of them! They each have some special quality which makes them so wonderful to trip to. Have fun!

nena - red ballons (pleasure delux techno remix)
it sounds really cool when sober. Not exactly my favorite, but I'm sure you already have someone reccomending Go Ask Alice by Jefferson Airplane.

Tool - Eulogy I almost didn't come back after listening to that on acid. But any Tool at all is great while tripping, the later stuff is much better than earlier though.

of course i've heard of the private psychedelic reel. They closed with it when i went to see them in concert in april. Yeah, Sunshine Underground seems to be the next album's version of PPR, but i like it a little bit better. they're both among their best.
hey, let us know what your final tracklist will be
