Ripple

If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung,
Would you hear my voice come thru the music,
Would you hold it near as it were your own?

It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken,
Perhaps they're better left unsung.
I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men.

There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

But if you fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home.

Ripple,
If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were a devout Dead-Head!

As of late, Mountains of The Moon has been my favorite. I'm trying to learn how to play it on Guitar. I have a long way to go.

Well then this one is for you Bullfrog: { not an easy song on the Guitar good luck}

Mountains of the Moon

Cold mountain water, the jade merchant's daughter,
Mountains of the moon, electra bow and bend to me.
Hi ho the carrion crow fol de rol de riddle
Hi ho the carrion crow bow and bend to me.

Hey, Tom Banjo hey a laurel, more than laurel you say sow.
More than laurel you may sow.
Hey, the laurel, hey the city in the rain,
Hey, hey, hey the wild wheat waving in the wind.

Twenty degrees of solitude, twenty degrees in all,
All the dancing kings and wives assembled in the hall.
Lost is the long and loneliest town fairly sybil flying.
All along the, all along the mountains of the moon.

Hey, Tom Banjo it's time to matter,
The earth will see you on through this time,
The earth will see you on through this time.

Down by the water, the Marsh King's daughter, did you know?
Clothed in totters always will be. Tom, where did you go?

Mountains of the moon, Electra, mountains of the moon,
All along the, all along the mountains of the moon.

Hi ho the carrion crow fol de rol de riddle
Hi ho the carrion crow bow and bend to me.
Bend to me. Na da da da da da da da da da da da.

Rip,
No I haven't. And as old as I am, I definitely had missed some opportunities. Problem is that I've only really gotten into them over the last 2 years.
Shrooming turned me on to them. I'm a devout Floyd fan though.
I saw Pink Floyd in 1976 and 78 and Zeppelin in 75. I probably could have seen the dead back then too, I had one or 2 albums, but was never really a dead head until now. What's funny is that only the Beatles actually entice me while I'm tripping.

Oh well!

Yea there were some great shows back then, I also saw Zep and Floid in the 70's I live in NY and some of those Madison Square Garden shows were really something. Do you remember Floids Animals tour when they had the giant pink pig float out over the audience? I was also lucky enough to see Yes, ELP and CSNY just to name a few. I did manage to see something like 80 or 90 Dead shows.

Re: Trippin Song Lyrics [Re: Ripple]

Most Enigma songs are really trippy, talking about seeing things you cant, and looking "beyond the invisible", more of the trippier lyrics are in the second and third and so on C.D's, the first C.D. is more chanting and stuff like that, these are some of the best.

" Turn around and smell what you cant see
Close your eyes ... it is so clear
Here's the mirror, behind there is a screen
On both ways you can get in

Don't think twice before you listen to your heart
Follow the trace for a new start

In the eye of storm just think of the lonely dove
the experience of survival is the key to the
Gravity of love

Look around just people, can you hear their voice
Find the one who'll guide you to the limits of your choice

But if you're in the eye of storm
Just think of the lonely dove
The experience of survival is the key
To the gravity of love."

"Look into the others eyes, many frustrations
Read between the lines, no words just vibrations
Don't ignore hidden desires
Pay attention, you're playing with fire

Silence must be heard, noise should be observed
The time has come to learn, that silence ...
Silence must be heard
Or diamonds will burn, friendly cards will turn
Cause silence has the right to be heard

People talk too much for what they have to say
Words without a meaning, just fading away "
