I really disagree with that. I'm not really well versed in electronic music but it seems to me that Shpongle are a lot better than 95% of electronic music out there. The thing that bothers me the most about electronic music is how plasticky it sounds. So synthetic. Shpongle manages to incorporate a lot of natural sound into their music.

I dont have a favorite psychedellic ALBUM. What i would do when i want some trippy music (trance, techno ect.) is i would download and listen to a bunch of mp3s and see if they are tight. If they are then id get more tracks by that artist and by artists who are featured in those tracks. (i got a cable modem so d/ling is quiker than average)

The name of the song is "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space" --- and it almost doesn't matter there are lyrics to it, because it's all about how the music fits together beautifully, don't you think? :smile:

Check out a band called Tortoise. Not the most trippy thing I have heard, but my favorite band to listen to on drugs. Amazing, great sounding stuff.

I wonder why out of all of these "what music should i trip to" noone ever mentions tool?  Tool is awesome for tripping.  Meaning is a bit dark, though the music is like a tripping rollercoaster.  And though i may be flamed for this next remark you guys should give Incubus a shot. "the warmth" on acid/shrooms is awesome.  The incubus album morning view is pretty soft and a good tripping album. thats my 2 cents.

P.S (i know this isn't ambient, volcaless stuff but its still cool to trip to!)  Happy trippping. :grin:

to be honest I find incubus to have a strong weed vibe to it, like an unexplainable link I feel. It just feels right to smoke to incubus.

Iv never tried tripping to them before but some of it is pretty damn trippy.

Incubus is just awesome anyway.  It pisses me off when people rule out original talent becuz it is "commercial" but anyway... listen to the warmth from make yourself while tripping.. You'll love it! :wink:

Fuck yes man! People just try to be cool by thinking incubus "sold out" or whatever, but they obviously havent listend to the album. make yourself and morning view are amazing albums, make yourself being my fav album of all time. their new stuff is going to be a lot more jam-like, like aqueous transmission, just a phase, clean intros. its gonna be awesome.

Sooo great to trip to.

Of course incubus is great for tripping.. maybe thats why they have a cd called "fungus amoungus" with a track called "psycho-psycilocibin"(spelling is wrong, i know) :wink: Or the fact that one of the first demo's was called "closet clutivation"..... :smile:
