WOW, Geko is very impresed at the shroomer comunity in melbourne:shocked:, Last season geko was one of the first to find sub's :mushroom2: And is wondering who was this years first shroomer to find the first actives :cool:.
Geko found a few subs in the usal patches geko goes to, But hasent seen any big flushes of them yet.
Geko will find them tho;),
And its great to see some familuar shroom hunters still hear :cool:

Here are some habitat pics from the weekend enjoy.....











I went out hunting today to find that the council has ruined one of my biggest producing patches by planting trees,the mushies were ripped up every were myc uprooted it was fucked.That patch is officially over but all the other patches are still going strong and picked bout 50 I left the rest no need to be greedy.........

Some mates went for a scout around they were paranoid about drying inside.

Everyone grabbed a handful, waste not want not right?

They wanted an inconspicous place to dry them out thus the idea was born.

Tools: PC case
Fans
Damprid
power supply
chicken wire
mesh










Taa Daa, looks like a PC, dries like a dehydrator.



Fixed up the front pannel and plugged it in to get the fans going, there was damprid at the bottom and a strip of mesh to catch any that shrunk through the chicken wire when drying.

Pretty silly idea but was a bit of fun. All pics were off a phone sorry.

I went out for a hunt yesterday and despite other people finding heaps I'm still finding all my regular spots to be fairly dry. I still managed to find enough good subs to keep me going as well as some other interesting fungus for photos so here you go:

Theres actually a funny story behind this.

Canyonsofstatic and I went out this morning picking and found a batch in someones yard. We were there for a while picking and then some dogs tried to chase us, but not before he spotted a large clump, so he grabbed a handful and ran... which would be the ones you see with roots still attached haha. We generally use a stanley knife or scissors to cut the stem off at the base.

Hey Peoples here is my own personal patch



These are a P.Sub patch that I started from scratch at the start of may, I pinched a little myc from a patch down the road put some woodchips in a Polystyrene box started watering and now I have this. :biggrin:
