It could be spores on the stems. Maybe they bruised blue where you handled them or maybe they are rotting slighltly like a abhort would.

not to be nasty but for real..Ive eaten shrooms fresh outta the cow patty even after flicking off a few worms..I never had any problems.

It looks like you've kept them in the fridge or in a plastic bag... or perhaps its just half dry. Blend those fuckers up w/ some Orange Juice or a nice Margarita mix and enjoy the ride.

How are you drying them, because if you are not drying them correctly or fast enough, they might have rotted.

dried on a screen in the windowsill, and a paper bag - to soak up moisture.

i put some puerto rican shrooms in a baggie and left in in my car, they turned slimey and black...ewwwwwwww. Didnt dry them out enough, i tossed them out, the smell was unbearable, but if you blended them up they're probablly ok. It is a little risky!!!!i think you can probabally handle 'em
