questions about mushrooms i found...PLEASE HELP!!!

Im desperate to know if these are shrooms are not, only cause i found sooo much....Ok first of all i live in southern CA, specifically Moorpark.
My friend and i were walking around a Nursery by our house when we saw a mushroom by a tree in a wooden box. Now these wooden boxes are all over the nursery with one tree/plant in them. At first we were both like "nah probably poisoness...
Then we noticed they were in a lot of them. All sorts of types... Some big, small, medium, fat, skinny
But none of them stained blue.......
So anyway, do u think theyre shrooms.....I dont have a camera for the comp, so i cant show u a pic....But do they grow naturally? If they do, why so many different types?

Again, that was quite possibly the stupidest mushroom description I have ever heard. Maybe you should read a little bit about mushrooms before you even consider picking them. Just an idea.

the only dicription you gave was they were mushrooms that didnt stain blue.....

Yep. They're probably mushrooms!....Have you ever seen one before? Was this your first time seeing a mushroom? I saw some shaky video footage of a mushroom once. I think it was staged, though. The film was too grainy to tell... Made me think of the "footage" of BigFoot.
