:banghead:so my girlfriend had a blow out on the highway, (luckily every one is fine) and when she got to the garage she asked them to replace the brakepads. then they told her that her rotars were shot and needed to be replaced, and they wouldnt let her leave without fixing them, so she had to cut into our rent money, and now i have to come out of my pocket with the money from the ipods im selling, to make rent...goddamnit!:banghead:

Thats sucks but it sounds like your girl got hustled out of your rent money. Don't ever go to that garage again unless it is to throw a brick at the owner

i think that mechanics make most of their money based on the fact that they could say ANYTHING is wrong with your car and make you pay for it any number of ways ... it's not like you could tell them "oh you're wrong, it doesn't need to be fixed" since they're the mechanics, after all! and good salesmen they are, too.

thats bullshit, she should of just walked into their garage, put here tires back on, lowered the life, and take off driving. They cant keep your car from you, the have no right.
