I usualy find the biggest caps growing in woods
one big shroom per pattie

of course I hunt in cow pastures...
If the field is big enuff and theres lots of cover then you should find big capped mushrooms here 'n there

Not sure exactly what to respond to this post with... there could be a lot of possible answers. Is this even a serious question?


Maybe if you described the exact conditions in which you are finding bigger mushrooms, it would be easier to answer.
An obvious answer might be that near the house there is more shade... out in a field the sun probably gets to mushrooms more and causes them to shrivel, grow small and dry, or not grow at all.
Around a house there may be trees, shade, and more moisture, allowing them to grow bigger.

Anyway, if it's just a joke, I feel silly for answering seriously :crazy:

i was being serious, now that I think about it, the grass is thick near the farmers House and I guess it holds moisture, there is more shade, and more poop, but i wish that there were alto on the edge of the field, the farmer gets mad at me and chases me around when I get close to his House, too bad for him I was a track star in high school.

I have truely been shot at once in a field I won't ever go back to

So I decide to park my car down the road and walk
I notice the fence line on my right so I dart thru the woods and make it across the fence .
Hardly noticing any signs of cow's or poo for that matter I keep walking.
This field seems huge and sections of fence just keep blocking my way
I end up jumping like 3 fences where finally I notice poop and cows

I begin my search by walking with my eyes glued to the ground ..uh yeh dumb idea
I can see huge caps but they are not what I'm looking for..
Well I hear sum voices,
I look up and theres a truck with 2 guys standing a couple feet from it and from what I can tell one of these fuckers has a shotgun..
"Oh fuck" ! Is the only thing I can manage to say.
I turn to my left and jus start running towards the tree line, I jus wanted to get out of that field ASAP..
I make it to the woods but am not sure of my where abouts.. like I said never really hunted this particular field before.

I then hear BaaBoooom... As I'm crouching in a bush can't see shit I hear the guys yelling sum redneckish shit like "someones bout to get shot and the police ain't gonna help" , "best come on out them woods"

I said to myself this is crazy , what have I gotten myself into
while thinking what I should do I jus decided to haul ass thru these woods till maybe jus maybe I'll come out and there will be my car
Well I manage to get out of the woods and find the road but my car was like damn near a mile away so I ran that ass off almost to my car I hear another gun shot .. "Shit" "Shit" "Shit" I kept saying....
Thinkin wtf are they shooting at I jump in the car and pull onto the road..
Driving down about a mile I look to my right to look out into the field to see if I could see those 2 guys and sure enuff I could see them plain as day with goddamn shotguns.

Thinking to myself jesus christ I could have been shot 'omg
I've never been shot at in my life...
That just scares the hell outta one who isn't expecting it

holy shit. The shots were probably shot into the air though. Im sure at the time it seemed like they were trying to shoot you with panic and all, but it was probably two rednecks with an excuse to shoot their guns and feel badass.

that sucks ass though. glad they didnt catch you or anything. cause there is always a chance they are fucked up crazy folk that like to kill things.
