SBXLI: So have you guys talked yourselves into the Bears winning yet?

I have.

I'm super excited and probably might die before tomorrow. I'm not even sure I can go to a super bowl party tomorrow night. I may seriously need to lock myself in my house, because if things are close; and I figure they will be, there may be yelling.

I know that rationally its silly to be so emotionally invested in a group of people playing a game that will have absolutely no physical impact on your life. But I was raised on the Bears, and they've pretty much sucked my whole football life. I'm 23 now, and I probably seriously started watching and being interested in football at 13 or 14. So 10 years of watching them be just horrible, with occasional glimmers of something that looked like talent, but really wasnt.

And now, all of a sudden we're in the super bowl. With a great team and a quarterback who might be really good or might be really bad, but is almost guaranteed not to be somewhere in the middle. Facing a quarterback who's almost certain to be great and a defense that is as two-faced as our quarterback.

We're still in the underdog role, and thats okay...I'm a Cubs fan, and am used to dissapointment. But I think we can pull it off. Even if nobody else does.

Yeah, im in the same boat, i mean for sooooo many years they have sucked ass. and now somehow they actually made it to the superbowl.

im a chicago native, so i have to root for the home team!
This shit is going to kick ass tomorrow, i can hardly contain myself

oh my god. I stopped watching. The bears are soooo terrible. How did they let this terrible team into the superbowl?

Everyone talks about their defense, but the defense hasn't done shit. Peyton is dancing around them.

Grossman is also one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL.

Im not going to torture myself anymore
