 **New Ways to Rate Vendors Needed** Ideas Please.

A new policy should be implemented here at the Shroomery on How to rate Vendors. How this should be done. Well, I don't know but I will share my Idea. Newbies along with members are having difficulties ordering products with good service. Wether it is good customer service, a scam, or misleading information at different vendors websites we can resolve the problem at hand by bringing new ideas to the table. A desireable resolution can be reached through vendor & customer coordination. If we all share are Ideas the most suitable results will be achieved. So everybody please illustrate your visions on how this should be handled (maturely).
Should Vendors selling products at the Shroomery be required to send a special PM to any registered member who has recently made a purchase. **Should a specialized PM system be created where as when you purchase a product from a vendor associated with the Shroomery, He/She would be required to send a specialized Private Message that would give you an Option of Rating them?
RaTing Customer:
1. How good was the Customer Service?
2. How long did it take to Deliver the Product?
3. Was the Product Good/Bad?
Should the rating be on a larger scale of 1-10?
How to prevent Fraud- ie Vendors rating themselves...
Im tired of reading through various threads where vendors promote themselves as the greatest thing to exist in the Galaxy. If there is a sufficient rating system then this will do the talking for the Vendors.
Please Illustrate.....

How are vendors going to know who on the forums ordered from them? I don't ever send in my username when I order, and they don't ask for anyone to. As far as ordering from bad vendors, that's the customers deal, unless you have a bottomless bank account, and don't mind waiting a year for your purchases to arrive, you should investigate the vendors before you pruchase from them. It's rather simple really, post a message, asking about how fast, sterile, satisfactory the products in question are made/shipped/etcetera. A rating system isn't going to much good at all. MicronMagick for instance, has a rating of two at the moment, and I have found him to be extremely helpful and courteous. Read a few posts made by the vendors, you can usually determine whether or not he/she is an asshole. Personally I would rather order from someone who deserves the business, even if it means having to wait a little while longer. If I am going to spend at least $100 on a pod, I want to know that if any problems arise, that I can merely send an email or PM and get a reply that is going to benefit me. Dealing with assholes is for the birds. No system is ever perfect, and that is why you shouldn't order from someone just because they have a rating.

I think this rating business is no good!!!!
A bad vendor won't live long. Especially not on a website as this!!! Tell me if and how I am wrong.

1. Maybe this rating system (with the mushrooms by the name) will evolve and
become more reliable in the future. It is relatively new ya know.
2. Im not knocking your ideal i think it is very smart, I also like mycotek's
answer to the problem that I read earlier in another post.

Sure, trust is trust, but that's what leads to bad things happening. It's really sad that we can't trust one another in a place like this, but there are obvious risks in giving out too much needless information. How is it going to benefit anyone to give your username to a vendor? They're already swamped with orders, shipping, customer support, and everything else that makes a vendor a businessman. What are they going to do? PM you to make sure everything is satisfactory? My point is, there is no reason or need to give it out.

These new 'vendors' should be required to take a test to demonstrate a knowledge of mycology. After all, if you are going to be a vendor of mushroom spores, you should be somewhat of an expert in the field.
I'll be damned if I would go to a doctor without a degree on his wall and it is obvious that some of these vendors know nothing about mushrooms, they just happend to have a chance to acquire prints off some one else that they can resell.
There are a bunch of these vendors already set up here and now they are trying to lock the door so others can't do what they happily did!
Throwing contests doth not a knowledgable vendor make!

Damn Max you just fucked me up dude. I was gonna buy a couple thousand prints and make syringes available for 3 bucks a piece also hahahhahhhhahaahaa.. I do agree with your post though.

In retrospect of the on-going Vendor's syringe price war I would not be surprised to see a vendor or two start PAYING $$ customers to take a syringe!! lol!
