ego loss

The last time I tripped i only ate about 3.5 grams, but any time I tried to think of what time it is I really had no idea, and my friends said that I asked what time it is every 2-3 minutes. Does that sound like ego loss?

I expirence complete ego loss on salvia, I can say that it is HELL. Even with very small doses I cant remember who I am, what I am, w/e. I guess my ego is weak :frown: :crazyeyes:

Nah, it sounds like an intense trip though, that happens to me every time I take a high dose. If you experienced ego loss you'd know it...wouldn't need to ask. There is no time, no self, just pure awareness and consciousness. You have no idea who you are, where you are, what you are....you just ARE. You dissolve into the All....It's an incredible experience, one that cannot be put into words, and one that leaves it's mark forever. I'm a different person, and a much better one thanks to those experiences.


***edit*** To those who say it's terrifying; Actual ego-loss is never hell, or negative....the ride up there may be, for sure....esp. if you fight it. However, once you're there, there is no more you, therefore no fear; the concept of fear or hell, or even heaven per say. It's beautiful, blissful...amazing, just pure awareness & consciousness; pure, unconditional Love.

Never been there, but I have experienced severe time loss....I always have no clue how to guage time on mushies, but that doesn't mean you've got to ego loss.

And after reading Dark_Star's post I'm going to shoot for it next time. :laugh:

I could imagine you would want someone close to you after you have your whole view on life raped, pardon the term? Or atleast I would suspect that help your trip not turn sour.

Okay I guess your're roght but those final moments before total obivion really fuck with your head. Yuo really feel like you "messed up". Or "Did it this time".

Off-Topic I guess

When I did a lower dose 2.5ish, I was watching tv (yo mama) and time just slowed down, alot. It seemed about 1 minute passed, then I came out of the hole in time and really on seconds passed since it started. Then the mushrooms told me it was called a moment of eternity. Anyone else expirence this?

Oh yeah, for sure....I still fight it sometimes, if I'm not prepared and the set and setting is off, and I have a lot of experience.  It's best to aim for a place where you're totally comfortable, can let go and not worry.  Make sure you're in a good mindset and have people you love and trust with you...people that you will take care of you, hold you, comfort you, etc.  A lot of love really goes a very long way. If you have all of those conditions right it'll make a huge difference.



MustNoBe, I've experienced that too, many a time. It's an amazing experience; just seeing/feeling/knowing/UNDERSTANDING/EXPERIENCING everything flow together into the perfect moment, the pristine celestiance that stands still forever. I often go into ego loss during these moments, even on lower doses (2 hits of really good LSD for example)....everything flows into eahc other, and in to me, and as time stands still I melt into the moment, which is Eternity. It's beautiful.  :heart: :sun:

Time dilation is common. Reality becomes sluggish and stupid compared to the human mind. I've learned to use time wisely through my moments of eterinty.

Sorry if this is an obvious question....but isn't that EXACTLY what we're after....being...just BEING...without time without anything....not DOING....just BEING? Sorry if this is an obvious....but the whole point of shroomin is to be in an other dimension...to take one where they have not been in order to explore and experience the adventure?

Yes, some of them do. I truely believe that it's the end result for all of us, once we've completed our journey through existence and time....completed the process. (this goes over many lifetimes, and so forth).

I haven't been there yet either. So far the only hallucinogen that I have ever done has been shrooms. BUt have done them 30+ times. I have gone as high as 10 grams of shrooms before and haven't gotten the ego loss. I believe that the mindfuck of shrooms makes it a little bit harder to achieve ego loss, but it is still possible.

shroom_me, I don't really understand what you are saying by mild ego loss. Isn't ego loss, just ego loss. I don't believe that there can be different levels of ego loss, but maybe I am wrong.

In order for me to achieve ego loss I am goign to be trying some rue with a high dose of shrooms. Not a typical high dose, but a high dose for doing it with rue. I am looking in the 3.5 - 4 gram range, probably the 3.5. I'll see what happens there. I was suppost to do this friday night, but I ended up canceling my plans. Didn't get out of work till 8 at night and I still had to brew the tea and everything. That means that I wouldn't be able to start tripping till 11 or 12. Then the trip would of lasted around 10 hours and I had to work the next day. But there are plans for this weekend. This friday will be the day.

i agree that actual ego-loss is never a negative thing. All Dualities(pain,pleasure hate,love life,death) are overcome in that place. Though my first time on 8grams of Cubies( found in a horse stable)was not at all a fun ride until THE moment. the moment that all the events in your life seem to add up to.Unfortunately for my ego it was hell up until its last desperate attempt at clinging the solid normalcy of reality. But once you're liberated from this worldly possesion, You cant help the Euphoria.

Some people are just not too sensitive to them.  I most definetly am.

Several times I've been at the total ego loss stage, the ride there is always a rough one.  Maybe some day I'll get used to it, but once there its just unfucking believable.

The strangest thing about the last trip where I lost my ego, was not just loosing the concept of time, but getting the impression that I was experiencing(something) from infinite perspectives at the same time, whilst from different times but at the same time :smile:  The visions were jaw dropping, but not so wierd in comparison.

not to be a post steal, but if you can achieve ego loss by just spending time thinking and meditating why take mushrooms? Maybe ill post a thread on this.
