supercharge Mushroom potency with Melatonin??

Hi guys. Ive been following this thread sense like a year ago and sadly, these guys never finished the project. Melatonin is an all natural sleep aid whose chemical compound formula is closley the same with that of the psilocin in mushrooms. Please take a look at this guys post. He actually makes alot of sense.

because of the structure of this compound (N-Acetyl-5-methoxytryptamin) i doubt seriously that this will do anything to the mushrooms. N-Acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine is synthesized naturally in your pinal glend by tryptophan.(an essential amino acid) . tryptophan is also precursor for serotine and you will have better luck using tryptophan instead in your substrate.

I've seen no evidence that the addition of anything whatsoever to a substrate has any effect on potency.

haha yes. actually i didnt suggest that tryptophan works i just said he would probably have better luck with it .. from what i understand mushrooms create a hydroxy group to certain tryptamines and i dont see any benefits trying to get this with meatonin. Growing mushrooms on DMT substrate would be the key to increase psilocin (4-hydroxy DMT) content in mushroom. this has allready been done just search arund a little.
