Freedom is found in others and the needs of others. If you spend time focused on others your needs will be met by others. When you put others first they love you back and put your needs before thier own. That is the way it works........Freedom is found in Love


When you put effort into Love, which is others needs, you get effort back. Let me put it liek this


If you spend all you efforts on yourself how much effort did you get ? The effort of one focused on himself

If you put the effort of many on yourself thru loving others what do you get ? The effort of many and the productivity of many focused on one.

I can only tell you how far I have seen some people go in life.......spiritualy, finacialy, family, all things, etc.... BY LIVING FOR OTHERS FIRST


Funny thing...I used to spend time consouling state inmates and teh only time I have seen the idea of " Fuck'em all I am out for me " Blossim into it's full potential............... :thumbup:

Oh I agree with you 100%..........but this is the secret of Love. If you "Love" someone and then find yourself unhappy with the results and don't feel reciprocated love then guess what ? You were never really loving them in the first place.

Loving them has nothing to do with them loving you back :grin:

It was not a question of being a source, but of providing some understanding that serves as a foundation for others to understand. I read your post and it seemed to be a lot of assertions without a lot of basis. That is simply how I read it, which is why I inquired for more information. Ok.no kidding...... So I stated things how I understand them...and what would be an accpetable source then ? A book some other person wrote ? I mean all ideas coem from someone.oh wait you just don't respect my experiences and my life's work or my life or me at all. exactly what a child does.they know it all and teh adults know nothing. It's ok I was the same way when I was a teen

I don't totally agree with living for others first as the ticket to freedom, but usually people do find a great deal of fulfillment when being a 'subservient one', their usually the backbones behind many peoples relations, and you can't accuse them for being selfish,

but sometimes I'd rather be left alone, or given my space to choose, or create, but someone decides to put their effort into it, thinking their actually helping my cause, they try do to much for you, and when the giving isn't reciprocated, they get mad

I'd say giving to others is good, but don't always expect the generosity to be reciprocated, for the fact that person might not wanted that particular help

An acceptable source would be a collection of observations and understanding, some proposed thoughts that reflect some aspect of reality... your post contained hints of these, in my opinion, but that it was more along the lines of a rant addressed to the "ignorant children" who were posting in the other thread that is probably a reaction to.

A source is not a book that someone else has written, or a study. It is simply some information, some understanding, a perspective that provides something. I personally did not find much of a source in your post, but that is simply my conclusion - I am not attacking you, or saying that your points were wrong. It simply wasn't expressed in a manner that contained something that I could personally sink my teeth into. I can review your post and possibly pose some questions that might give me a greater understanding of what you were expressing, but I can't promise anything right now, as I am overdue for sleep (switching shifts at work tonight :rolleyes:).

I do not feel that this is an accurate representation of myself and the way I have presented myself in this thread. I simply do not accept "this is my conclusion from my experience" as being justification for accepting one's point as truth.

I respect any idea or perspective, even the ones that directly address and question my own. My viewpoints, in some ways, differ with the ones that RRR has expressed, and yet I respect his viewpoints all the same, and enjoy having discussion with him.

But where do I say that I expect them to love me back ? I only said that of you love them many things will come back to you. If your implying that My motive to love is to receive love back then you misunderstand......The return love is a by product of loving them. The reason to love is for the sake of love. A gardener does not love his garden for the BLT sandwiches,that kind if gardener has a weed filled tomato patch. No a loving Gardener has a beautiful place with all kinds of nooks and crannies. He has flowers and artwork etc....He loves his Garden.........he rewards are many many and he does not look forward to rewards he just knows that buy giving the world the reward of his garden the world will share it's garden with him..........How often of how great the rewards the Gardener could care less.he has a Garden of his own to Love........Loving his garden is all that matter to him and if anyone else wants to love him and his garden than he has found the greatest things.......Two people loving the same. Freedom is a relationship with no expectations, relationships between people or people and things, or people and ideas.etc............

By my best estimation, right here:

Though, I must say, you aren't saying you "expect then to love you back" specifically so much as stating it flatly, as a fact
And, trying to keep to what my point was originally, I don't think that such behavior will net such a gain as you suppose.
Sure, gotta love others and be loved as well but gotta be wise about it. Lots of people would take advantage of such behavior,
