    #1223858 - 01/16/03 02:27 PM (14 years, 9 months ago)

sorry if this is the wrong forum, but it has to do with dreaming, so i thought it might go here.
i was having this dream, and i knew i was dreaming, cuz it didnt make sense. so i was all excited, cuz i was gonna have my 3rd lucid dream, and i knew it... but it wouldnt work. so i thought i wasnt dreaming, and i freaked out... anyone know why i iddnt go lucid? any supplements or vitamins or whatever i can take to make dreams more lucid? i heard salvia induces lucid dreams, is this true?

its a sign, youre going to die

actually its pretty common, a sort of somniable suspension of disbeleif. take it as a lesson in life.
why doesnt life go lucid? if it did, it would be a dream, we have mechanisims in place subconsiosly to keep us in the continuim of logical and accepted reality.
to break a few parameters of this world, we would undo the certainty of our own existance.  we have evolved safeguards against lucid dreams.... makes you think, what is the evolutionary benefit?
your body rejects divinity.  if your dreams are of your mind, then in them you are god. weather you realize or not.
you may not even be self-aware in a dream. you simply play a role, just like all the other people play a role. parts of you but totally different, unpredictable and separate.
just like life
a dream is a throw-away life you can fuck with safely.
but what if you fucked with life? would you wake up?  would evryone dissappear? what would you become?
who is the real dreamer?

i think theres a difference b/w realizing your dreaming and waking up into a lucid state of reality. to go "lucid" you have to WAKE up become Aware. you were still unconcious, you were caught in the grey area. i think it takes lots of effort to do it unless you just stumble on to it.

to ^^^ i think ive fucked with that evolutionary detail stuff, and manipulated some things in my life. if i did i dont know, but it feels like it a lot. i feel like ive cheated my life or something by figuring it out and now im just going to interfere with what i should have done or something i dont know maybe it will turn out for the better.

you sound distressed that you didnt go lucid, when really you shouldnt be. I can go lucid close to every time I sleep, and many times, I choose to just let my imagination go wild. you can learn tons about yourself just from watching the choices your subconsious makes. a great learning experience, just remember, even if you dont have complete control yet, there is always plenty to learn from regular dreams, so keep working at it, but relax too.
