being alone
    #5798627 - 06/28/06 08:25 AM (17 years, 7 months ago)

How would you feel about living your entire life alone, having no family or having no sexual relationship with anyone.
Exept for friends that you see from time to time or hang out with sometimes.

How would you feel in your 30's, in your 50's and how would you feel if you were an old man?

Nursing homes were invented to "deal with" people who grow old and unable to help themselves. It could be worse, you get to be wheeled around from the cell to the dining area where you can drool in your food and stare blankly out into space...

I a bit confused by what you are trying to say. I asked how would you feel living alone (and in your own home)?

I once read a book about a guy who deliberately went to a deserted island and lived there for many years alone. He liked it much. Only poor health forced his leaving ( and the govt. that owned the island)

I'm one of those people who do very well alone. I had an isolated childhood and so got used to living alone with myself early on. That may have lots to do with it.

I spent most of my early twenties alone while the people around me were all having orgies and shit.

If I can handle that, I can handle anything.

Of course, I would prefer not to be alone.

Being alone sucks.  But I can take it

The first step towards accepting others is to accept the self. A few years of being alone would be excellent training for life. I enjoy my own company immensely. Loneliness has nothing to do with being alone.

I know a few people who DESPERATELY need to be alone.

some people are so addicted to other people it hurts them.

They have all these opportunities to be with others, so they are never alone.

sad, really. Being alone has given me some of the greatest wisdom I have. Its sad to think that some people deny themselves this wisdom because they are afraid to be by themselves for awhile.

If you never had anyone all your life, and you never came across peoples ideas that we are suppost to be with/have someone.
Then maybe you wouldn't know what you are missing.

Ignorance through lack of knowledge might actually be bliss in that case.

How that person would turn out is impossible to say.
Many lessons are learnt through other peoples actions.

That's called devine justice...

Devine justice is some sort of poethic irony, and its satisfaction is in its irony

When you have one leg and you get beaten, when you are hungry and the rich guy claims your lottery winnings based on the fact that he payed for your lottery ticket, when you wisper a funny thing to some guy and he yells it out and gets the laughs for himself, when you want love and they hate you, when someone uses you to get into the pants of a girl you are in love with, when you lose your job because someone placed the blame on your to save himself, when you are alergic to your favorite food, when a painter goes blind

that's devine justice, it is funny, it is ironic, and it is as it should be, and one can be trained to feel satisfaction in it as with "regular" justice, which is an illusion

fuck that.

"Divine Justice's" sick little jokes shall soon come to an end.  Who the fuck does he think he is?  I have a mind to give him a taste of his own medicine.  Perhaps I'll strike down upon him with great vengeance and furious anger

you can blow wind in his ass because either he doesn't exist, or does and is so powerfull that you are like a little ant

By the way, it is justice because in the next world it is reversed. He who wins and conquers you in this world will be conquered himself in the next, by cold earth as he perishes to dust like a roadkill dried on the sun

yeah, I know all that, but I've been conquered repeatedly in other lifetimes without reward, so I'm a little anxious to collect. Expecting a big payoff real soon.

and yeah, his lessons can be tragically hilarious, but I've learned so many of them that I feel lke I'm about ready to graduate the school of Justice.

My name is Justin, BTW.

By "friends" do you mean that you would have access to whores?

Don't be so sure reincarnation exists. If you believe in that sort of things, a lot of NDE experiences reported that beings toled them there is no reincarnation, only collective memory. One case in particular mentions that it has been said by Jesus himself.
