In my psychedelic reasearch that I've been doing one of the more interesting things Ive come across is the idea of Plant Spirits communicating to us through entheogens. Quite often appearing before us in visual form and not just a voice in the head, though the latter is definitely more common. When I first read about this I thought hmm thats interesting it always seemed like the mushrooms were trying to talk to me and I even had a "hallucination" of the inside of a mushroom as if thats where its mouth would be or something. At the time i didnt think much of it as i was inexperienced, I remember this happening right from the first time years before i read anything about it. The thing is Ive never been able to find any detailed information about this so i thought id See what people here thought about it. Just unuasually common hallucinations? Aspects of the subconcious? Or genuine inter-species communication? Maybe Morphic fields being programmed with personifacations? Just a couple months ago i had my first large dose of Hawaiian baby woodrose seeds and had the second or third most powerful trip of my life on anything. I had a long conversation with what claimed to be the spirit of the plant and i could see it right there even moving its mouth which i saw as the closed flower head itself. I had always thought what would i ask if i ever had direct conversation with a plant ally and had been ready. It always seemed from the accounts i had read people were unprepared and always asked something pretty stupid. I decided to ask it, what questions should i ask that would be most beneficial? Its delightfully paradoxical answer, "What can I tell you that you dont already know?" And that seemed to answer it. Now was that plant seperate from my mind or acting through it? Of course you could make the argument all is one so its not seperate but you know what i mean. I remember reading somewhere (probably terrence mckenna) that these plants will use your own sub concious to better interface with individuals, using there own vocabulary and memories etc. Whatever the case they are very familiar with your mind and dreams. Plant Spirits have been known to come up in Salvia, Amanitas and psilocybin Mushrooms, Peyote, LSA flowers, Ayahuasca, Iboga, Datura and even opium usually these are female spirits but some are generally male, Others have no sex at least not as we understand them. Pure DMT also has a variety of entities associated with it. Salvia if not psilocybin mushrooms from what ive read seems to have the highest amount of reports of meeting the plant spirit. This is why salvia is associated with Marie, and is called "the Sheppardess". With Ayahuasca it seems its very common to have communication with the plants. When asked how they knew to combine an MAOI with DMT picking the right plants out of thousands upon thousands of species the natives said bluntly, "the plants told us". With Amanitas too it seems to be pretty common and is more then likely the inspiration for Toad, in mario, as that is pretty much exactly how they are described. Not to mention Mario Grows when he eats the amanita which is a classic experience. Datura seems to have one too but shes not so nice to most people it seems. Ketamine also which doesnt come from a plant has been known to induce hallucinations of entities claiming to be real, the scientist John Lilly who did numerous experiments came into contact with what he called E.C.C.O. or Earth Coincidence Control Office. However they did not claim to be Ketamines spirit but entities which ketamine allowed people to become aware of. Now some people might think that because a synthetic chemical, say mescaline would cause the same experience though there never was any plant. Though of course ive never heard of these spirits talking to anyone using a synthetic version of a naturally occuring entheogen its quite possible. It could be that the plants are just the means of chemical production as a kind of anchor to the physical world if you will for certain discarnate entities. So that before we understood chemistry we would still have access. These could be some kind of interdimensional enitity manifest themselves physically as certain chemicals. According to the book "DMT the spirit molecule" its quite possible that our own "spirit" is closely connected to DMT. Maybe certain highly evolved souls have incarnated in specific plants to teach us stuff. Or its possible that plants have had more time then any other group of organisms to evolve have managed to create some kind of inter species chemical communication. I remember reading in national geographic that plants do in fact communicate with each other by releasing chemicals into the ground, they also move, just so slowly we dont notice. And when you consider the long life span of many plants its not hard to imagine they would have a different time perception then us. Plants also have nervous systems and electrical impulses , they know when someone pulls a leaf off of them. Why would plants want to communicate with us? Well maybe so we dont destroy the world, maybe cuz they have spiritual connections we dont. At any rate plants are more then cells reproducing. So anyone had similar experiences with entity contact associated with entheogens? Fairies, Aliens, Anything? Any links or books for more info?
