abhorts on top of cake
    #520584 -

I have yet to get a mature fruit grow from the middle or top of cake. they only grow at the bottom by the verm layer, I dont understand why they wont grow anywhere else? most of the cakes are on the 3rd flush and a couple even 4th! pinning on the top and middle of the cake didnt even start till the 2nd flush, but when they do pin there they only grow to about 1/4 in then stop growing, i also noticed they get a bluing at the base of the cap, ALL of the stunted shrooms are on the middle or top of the cake get this. the mushies i get from the bottom of the cake get big and i get great flushes from the bottom. the cakes look very healthy, no bluing and no contams. It isnt a great concern because i am more than satisified with the flushes they give me, just confused. temp and air exchange are fine, I have no humidity gauge but get a descent idea from the condensation on the walls of the terariumand the rate the mushies grow(perlite) any ideas?

I have one...
Cakes suck because your yield is sorry just layer a half inch or so of moist verm on bottom of a cake pan or whatever then break up your cakes and layer that even as possible across container then put another half inch or so of moist verm on top of that POOF!!! a casing much better(youll get a hell of alot more shroom) :)
PEACE
