Exploding Shrooms

I don't know if i'm just doing something wrong or if these are a weird type of aborts, anyway, my pins seem to be doing great, then overnight they become very fat and then tear on the sides, my casing hasn't done this at all, but my cakes are all doing it, WTF is going on. It almost seems like my shrooms fill up with air then explode. I don't have a good pic of them doing this but i can get a pic showing the difference between my casing shrooms and my cake shrooms.

mine did the same things with my first casing.

The stems just kinda, almost split right down the middle.

I think it was the lack of humidity that did that.

As said above, lack of humidity is usually the cause of splitting caps.

The casings can feed off of the casing soil's moisture, while the cakes have to rely on the humidity around them. That's why your cakes' caps break, but your casing's don't.
