That is def part of it, but I'm sure people tested both ways out to learn the lemon tek differences. Instead of this lemon thread there would be a powder thread with stories in it.

Also when I just eat them, I do chew on them a lot before swallowing, which is pretty much the same as powdering, and I do seem to get a better trip (the surface area helps the mushrooms digest so less goes through your body before fully digesting)

Lemon tek does increase intensity but shorten trip. Even if you just threw in a full shroom, it would be more intense, you would just have to let it sit longer before swallowing it.

Try fresh shrooms if you want. Maybe try a grow of your own, if you can't buy some fresh, it isn't even all that hard. But fresh are 10x bigger, so they have a lot more water, which could make it easier on your stomach. And many people even prefer fresh texture and taste over dry.

Fresh cubensis, to me, tastes like high-quality culinary mushrooms, better than shittake or portabello.

What's really good is lemon tek'ing fresh mushrooms. Just cut them up real well with a sharp knife.

What's better is taking rue or cappi before doing this. One does not expect the intensity of this, and it takes some getting used to.

I was thinking about doing this next time I lemon tek, how do you personally take the caapi? And do you observe the maoi diet restrictions?

When I first began experimenting with rue and capii, I did follow all the diet restrictions. But after years of trying little pieces of fermented cheese, drinking coffee and mate, and drinking beer or cider with yeast still in the mix while on rue, I just started eating and drinking anything I wanted to.

I do not believe that the diet restrictions must be followed with natural maois, with the exception of not drinking as much coffee and one normally would, (can make one a bit shakey.) I think rue changes your body to deal with a lot of outside forces, and evolutionizes the natural flow of the need of these restrictions.

I am the type of man to eat half an ounce of dry cubensis and wander out into the wood, however I am still very sensitive to these sacraments. I will say that potentiating whilst lemon tekking is an intense, enjoyable experience that I would recommend to those who have experience with mushrooms.

So I've read through this post alot.

Can people add their experiences from recent lemon tek usage?

Hopefully in just under 2 weeks I'll be doing them my first time and wondering for a first timer is it best to take 2g normal or 2g lemon tek? And will it up the trip alot more just a little?

If you don't know what these mushroom will feel like it would probably be better to not Lemon Tek. Don't try to make them stronger right off the bat, they are plenty strong on there own.
Also people's experience with Lemon Tek today is the same as it was in that tread 7+ years ago

Look my experience with lemon tek is about 3 years back on this thread. This thread is what started it all for me. You do not fuck around with this. This is the most powerful way to experience mushrooms. Please start with a low dose. Read Underhillmaster's first post and take the warnings seriously. He's not lying. I did this with 2g of pan cyans and blew my dome off.

I've taken LSD around 4 times before, 110ug, 225ug on 2 seperate occasions and 2 hits of 225ug tabs. Mindblowing to say the least so I'm surprised that I'm wanting to start on a low dose.

Did 1.2g dry lemon tek, Came on in about 15-20mins, was a mellow, chilled feeling with carpets morphing a little bit.
Lasted around 2 hrs, then completely gone after about 4hrs.

Will be doing 2.5g dry lemon tek later next week. will keep you all updated.

I had an extremely intense 'level 5' trip about 6 months ago while experimenting with lemon tek.
I had about 6 or 7 grams of an unidentified dried (whole) mushrooms. I had taken similar sized dosage (and even a 14gm dose) of this particular mushroom species before but had never managed to surpass a 'level 3' trip. I rested the mushrooms in a sealed jar filled with the juice of 4 small lemons for 2 hours prior to consumption. After consumption I began to feel onset effects within 10 minutes at which point I had a hit of a marijuana joint.
By the 20 minute mark I was having a full on trip. I experience extreme visuals (intense bleeding of colours, blackouts) and probably peaked at the hour mark (although my memory of the ordeal was very shady by the next morning). It was very hard for me to simply sit in a chair. I was struggling to combat my rapidly accelerating train of thought in an attempt to remain grounded.
After 3 hours the effects began to diminish. I was physically exhausted and surprisingly capable of sleep. I did so and woke around an hour later. At this point I was still experiencing visual effects, but of a much more mild degree (ie 'breathing' colours).

My hypothesis is that the low pH of the lemon juice causes the psilocybin to dephosphorylate, a process which would ordinarily occur within the stomach and its gastric acid. It would follow that one would be consuming a large amount of fast absorbing psilocin as opposed to psilocybin, which has a much slower uptake rate. This would explain the faster onset of the trip.

Last night I lemon Tekked 2 grams of chopped, dried cubensis and I'd say it was equal to a 4 gram trip with more visuals than I'd ever had on 4 grams but the same high and mindfuck

Just for comparison, I've done 2 dry grams by itself and only got very very mild visuals and giggly

What is this threshold trip you speak of?

The most I've done is 4 grams and the most intense was the lemon Tekked 2grams

You are supposed to powder the shrooms to kingdom come.  Like cocaine powder seriously fine, put in 2 freshly squeezed lemon juice a cup and dump the powder in there for 1 hour stirring every 10 minutes.  You'll feel it in 3 minutes peaking in 20.  I've eaten 6grams of abort PE caps I use to buy weight anyway 4 grams done that way had the effects of 6gram effects really took me by surprise

That was my first lemon tek so it was just an expirament and wow peak in 20 minutes?
I will definitely powder next time, I felt it in 20 min and peaked at an hour where in regular ingestion it takes 1 hour to feel and 2 hours to peak so it still worked but not as well

Oh yeah man I was extremely expirerenced with regular doses of 4-6 grams at that time 100 tips on just mushrooms.  Lemon tekked and in 10 minutes I was fetal position!!!  It felt like I toked a fat bowl of DMT seriously if you do it how I said all I'm saying man all I'm saying ALL IM SAYING (I'm looking you dead in the eyes right now) get ready!
