I've been doing the OJ thing lately. Personally I really don't notice a difference between it and the lemon tek.

I just got some cracker dry mushrooms out of my grow and will be trying this in a few hours with a fried and a couple "baby sitters". I am thinking if we each do 1.5g we SHOULD be feeling a good buzz. I will give my report later tonight or early tomorrow. A few questions if I may, they might have been answered but there are allot of pages to go through to find that out.

1. How do you go about turning them into powder?
2. Is powder weight less than full mushroom weight?
3. How long do you let it sit in the lemon juice before consumption?

i'm still bettin on the pH being it...proton donater from hell

converting the psilocybin to psylocin. when you do that shot, it takes

out the time your body would have needed to enzymatically do that.

Like any thing that hits all at once instead of gradually, it tends to

be a hammer...think of the difference between inhalation and eating

pot.

Or I could be so off in left field it's funny; I'm no biochemist.

i'm definitely trying this, buying an eighth im gonna eat 2.5(my regular dose)then in a few days do the lemon tek,
dose* .5 dried semilanceata
mixture* lemon juice  store bought, 2oz
ill leave it sit for about 4-5 hours
ill take it like a shot, with a cranberry juice chaser
and trip with my buddy joe, trip report will be posted by next monday:mushroom2::mushroom2::mushroom2::rasta:

I've always heard like 20 or 30 minutes in the lemon. Does it make a difference to let it sit after that point?

Well I believe the lemon tek works!
I had 1.7 grams grinded up and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
I see it should have been longer but I couldn't get a response in time before I left to do this.
Its a little rough going down but it was worth the while.

Also the thread clearly says to use fresh lemon juice.

Actually, the original OP didn't use lemon juice.  They used cranberry juice.  As this thread has progressed, people have found success with nearly any acidic fruit juice.  I have yet to see plausible reason why freshly-squeezed lemon juice would have an advantage over store bought lemon juice.

Yeah, it seems like the two major factors are that the psiloc(yb)in is pre-dissolved so it hits faster (like tea), and the antioxidant power of ascorbic acid helps stabilize the actives.  No reason that store-bought shouldn't be just as effective as fresh-squeezed.

I think they were preferring fresh juice since the original poster said he squeezed lemons to do it. Plus with store-bought juice, most of the enzymes would be no more, and that may be a key to figuring this out.
Maybe we can compare the experiences of store-bought and fresh.

I am gonna try this out for once. Lime juice, and one gram of B+ cubies. Why just one gram? Cause all of us knows what only one gram will do to any of us. If i can make a direct comparison, it will be worth it to me. If anyone wants to know the outcome, lemme know.

Well, I tried lemon tek with like .5 grams of PE.  I got a wonderful body high for a few hours.  I loved it.

But, has anyone just tried grinding up mushrooms and putting them in water and drink?  I was thinking maybe it was just the grinding up of it that made the effects stronger.

the grinding and cutting up is only half the story

any citrus works

for reasons obviously stated like a 100 times now

plus anyone buying store bought lemon juice must be the slower thinker of the bunch

why buy citrus juice when you can easily prepare it fresh.
people have become pretty retarded with this store bought crap

Make sure your lemons are fresh I used lemons I bought a week ago and they looked completely normal.

As I started tripping I could not quit puking felt exactly like food poisoning.

Lemons are full of  citric acid (no shit Sherlock...) and therefore very resistant to any kind of rot/contam. If the skin looks healthy and they're not squichy you can eat them.

Sounds to me like the shroom (or anything else u ate that day) wasn't good anymore.

To add my opinion and experience about the lemon tek... :

Last thursday I and two friends did 20grams (2 std. portions) of truffles (Atlantis), lemon tek... We tried 10gr, 15gr and 20gr for over 6 times and were looking for a way to enhance their, in eyes eyes, low potency.

Sweet baby jezus...that was overwhelming :O Never experienced something like that before. Im glad I have some experience, if this would have happend on my 1st trip Id be wearing a straight jacket now...

I squiced the juice from 3 fresh lemons and added the 20gms of sclerotia, than grabbed a hand blender and gave it a 2 sec kick.
We waited 20mins before adding near boiling water, tea and 6 sugar cubes (which do not help at all...). Drank it in 30mins, also ate the truffel pieces.

We hadn't eaten for 3 hours.

First 'bubbling' feeling, knowing something is going to happen showed after 15 minutes, change of 'state of mind' at 30minutes together with slight visual distortion and the true trip started somewhere after 45/60 minutes. It lasted around 2,5 / 3 hours (also started smoking MJ now) and dissapeared even faster than it came on.

Must say it was an incredible experience but a bit more than what I'd be looking for for no more than maybe 2 or 3 times a year.

Okay, I finally got around to trying the "lemon tek."  I had over six grams of dried mushrooms (unknown strain and species) to split between five people.  We first ground up the shrooms with a coffee grinder to turn them into a very fine powder.  Then measured a dose of ~1.25 grams for each person, and about 0.85 grams for myself.  Each dose was added into freshly squeezed lemon and/or grapefruit juice.  We stirred for 30 minutes and then imbibed.  Some people had only lemon juice in their glass whereas I had lemon and grapefruit combined.  This "lemon tek" worked... very well.

Confounding variables:
No other drugs used except I took 1mg clonazepam for anxiety before.  Two of my friends and I had not eaten for 2.5 hours before the experience.  The other two friends had eaten a meal about 45 minutes before.

This technique worked exactly as described in most experiences.  The experience had quicker onset, more intensity (for the amount), and shorter duration.  For example, my previous mushroom experiences lasted 4.5 hours whereas this one lasted about 3.5 with slight after effects.

This is one of the best psychedelic experiences I have ever had because it was both fun and economically savvy to use this technique.  In the future, I will probably use this technique whenever I have psychedelic mushrooms- to both save money (less is more) and have a more intense experience.

Would it be a good idea to try 1 Gram ground up in lemon juice for a first trip?  That way it wont be to long but still be intense and save money but on the other hand I want to make sure I get 'normal' shroom experience so I can learn about the drug without anything changed.  Now that I know acids can potentate a trip it seems like a waste to just eat the things.
