The US FDA lists the pH range of Florida orange juice as 3.30 - 4.15, and the pH range for California orange juice as 3.30 - 4.19.

Hi, I had a question about this.
I'm planning on having my first trip soon and I've been reading up for months so i think I'm ready.

I was thinking maybe trying 1 gram and a half with 2 lemons/ 1 lime. I  don't want to trip hella hard cause it is my first time. I'm pretty sensitive to everything to be honest :uhoh: so I'm not so sure if this way is the best. I want to trip like a level 3 but if this hits harder then maybe i should reconsider and try them some other way?

1.5g should be fine but if you have any doubts then please don't do it, tripping should be done on a clean mind if you know what I mean, no regrets/apprehensions.  If you do have em then it might turn into a bad trip but I leave that at your discretion.

Soaking 1.5g in 2 lemons and a lime should be good, if you squeeze the juices out right then you'll have about 1/4 glass of murky lemon/lime juice, more than enough to submerge and soak 1.5g of dried shrooms given that you've broken the shrooms down first.  Any sizes (shrooms bits) bigger than say half of one of your fingernails and its no good.  Make sure to break up the shrooms as small as they can go, if you can grind it into a powder even better! I had to do it by hand and mine were really tough/hard shrooms so I couldn't breeak them down into too small pieces, but small enough.

Remember to keep them submerged in the juice for at least 15-20 minutes, 20 min is usually a good time to set. I also stir the shroom/lemon juice with a spoon every 5 minutes, you don't have to, but its just a thing I do. 

And when you do drink it, take it one shot (so what I'm saying is, use only as much lemon as you need to submerge the shrooms, the more lemon juice, the more there is to drink down) ! For the love of god keep your nose open too, if you close your nose and drink it (like if you're drinking something really nasty) then you might throw up b/c of the texture of the juice/shroom bits (this should be fine if its powdered shrooms though).  Just relax and take the shot with your nose open so you can smell the lemon/lime which will take away the need to throw up (at least for me anyway).

I highly doubt a gram will give you a level 3 trip, even with this method.

Just make sure, since it's your first time and all, that you keep a clear head and DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. I wish I knew that the first time I dosed. I ate 3.5 grams dried and tripped so hard. I had no idea what shrooms was going to be like and I under and over-estimated them. It was a very weird feeling. But obviously I kept doing it and I love them.

The "bad trip" part of it was actually quite enjoyable come to think about it. At the time I was scared, but if something like that happened in a future trip I would simply love it.

I haven't tried lemon yet, but I want to add that a 15 minute soak in orange juice seems to work pretty well too.  2g got me to a level 3.

Yeah, I've been trying to keep a clear mind, but knowing the risks i just can't ignore it.. I think I'm just thinking way too much, but hopefully by the time i try them everything will turn out fine.

I like lemon lol so i don't think i got a problem taking the shot. But thanks for the advice when i trip I'll come back to say what happen yo xD.

im getting shrooms tomorrow for me and a friend, it's his first time and i was wondering if lemon juice would be too much? i haven't tried it myself. also we're splitting an 1/8th, think it would be good for him to start out with a gram and then eat the rest when he's ok with his trip?

Risks?  What risks?  Having a good time?  Maybe coming to terms with some shit that you've put in the back of your brain?  Yeah.  Careful with those risks, buddy.

    You'll be fine unless you have a serious listening problem, as the shroomery has given you more than enough information to have a fantastic experience.

Of course, experiences are always different, but this last time I did the "lemon tek" will be my last.  It intensified the stress, and after the sweaty jitteres and anxiety wore off, I came down.  No euphoric plateau, no laughs, no fun.  Too intense, then it was over.  I prefer the natural progression of the conventional trip.

Thank you. The come down experience is very crucial as well. I was considering doing it, but my trips already only last about 3-4 hours. I prefer the natural way I think. However, I may give it a try one day.

eat more bro. I crushed up like 2.5 for my wife and I did 4 and let em soak up pure lemon juice I squeezed myself. Hit us within 20 mins she was in the shower talking about glitter coming out of the spout and the curtain was clouds lol it was hilarious. I watched speed racer and that movie was a fuckin trip in itself. The lemon tek is cool. nothing out of the norm for me. comedown was the same and shit. although I love dosing large :grin:

I did 5 grams powdered and sit in the lemon juice shot for 20 minutes, ate them and had an intense trip.  It definitely works.

About a month ago I had 2 grams in a shot of lemon juice and it definitely made for a more intense trip. This definitely works, the trip was shorter, but much more intense.

Last weekend i did about 20 grams wet cyan's lemon tek style.
Good level 4 trip, lasted 4 hours with a 2 hour comedown after that.

So, about an hour ago I started at the VERY beginning of this thread wanting to be sure that I did not miss anything.  Realizing that by having skipped to the last three pages (47,48,49) and posting, I may have missed my answers.  My first question is this:  why not prepare a 'cocktail' of lemon, lime, cranberry juices with crushed ascorbic acid and powdered mushrooms?  Wouldn't you cover all of your bases that way?

I found some BLGyms which I froze two weeks ago.  First time trying mushrooms and I wanted a manageable trip.  Not knowing how potent these guys were I consumed 20 grams/fresh.  I made a tea with the fresh Gyms and crystallized ginger, using approx. 1 cup of not quite boiling water.  After letting it steep for approx. an hour I poured it all into a blender, added approx. 1/8 cup honey, 1 fresh lemon juice, and 2 large tablespoons of lemonade concentrate and blended on puree until there were no visible chunks, poured it into a tall glass and filled with crushed ice.  Gyms being very bitter I drank the beverage through a straw to bypass the bitter taste buds.  It was actually not bad.  I drank it on an empty stomach, started to feel effects after 15 min. peaked 45 min later and began my descent 2.5 hrs. later four a good four hour trip.  I was looking to reach level 1.5 and made it to 1.25.  No stomach upset, very relaxing, and a very nice time.

I understand Gyms to be fairly low in potency so perhaps it was the lemon that gave it a boost and it was more than likely the ginger that prevented the potential stomach issues.  I am going again this Sat. and plan to up the mushroom quantity to probably 30 g.

My other question is about corn syrup as a potentiate.  Corn syrup is in lemonade concentrate.  The explosion of obesity in the US has been linked to the vast quantities of soda that many Americans consume.  Reason being (if I remember this correctly) is that corn syrup is immediately absorbed into your bloodstream.  Could that not also have contributed to  the success of my experience and have actively contributed to facilitating the experience? 

I know that the thread was initiated to address the question of lemon juice as a potentiate.  This may appear to skirt the boundary's of this thread, however it seemed relevant to 'put it out there' to get your thoughts on the 'cocktail approach. 

Hope you can address my questions and at the same time gain some possibly useful information.

I just ingested 36 wet grams of Ecuadorians, chopped up and put in a 8 oz glass of Cranberry juice. That was ten minutes ago - will be back later to put my 2 cents in on this method. Now it is off to the darkness and hopefully hyperspace!

I can VOUCH for this method...

3.5 grams with the lemon tek kicked in after about 20 minutes... and I mean kicked in HARD.

The trip was much more intense, and was actually longer than I expected.

Drank the concoction at 11:00 P.M. and was tripping until 8:00 A.M.

Lemon tek DOES make it more intense without making it shorter.
